I love to kayak, but have a tiny car. I bought this because it was affordable enough that I wouldn't be extremely angry if it didn't work out. I could not be happier with the results. Personally, I didn't think the noise was bad, but I drive a 15 year old Subaru, so it's noisy anyway. My boat was secure, and I was able to load and strap it alone. The ONLY downside is that hard rain will come in(they suggest towels, but that's not practical). After my trip, the pieces easily fit back in the storage bag. Overall, these are great if you don't have other options.

Only used it once, but it saved me renting a U-Haul truck, so paid for itself. Used it for moving furniture. It’s clearly high quality and very good. It’s a 10 from me.

Love this! I was trying to find a mount for my kayak and this works great! Easy to install and stays put. Good value for the money. I didn't like the tie ropes and door/trunk T mounts, or whatever they are called. They seemed cheap, so I never used them and purchased others separately. There was one review I saw that complained of the kayak sliding from side to side. You need the front and back tie downs and have no idea why you wouldn't or why you would expect it to stay put with only the 2 pull straps. I just got back from a trip to Canada over 750 miles each way and no problems. Of course there is going to be be noise, but it was much less than I expected and didn't interfere with my audio book.

Could not be more happy with the soft roof rack. Super quick and easy to put on and take off. It fits in the bag perfectly. 5 stars isn't enough.

Would have been a great product if the foam was about 4 inches longer to accommodate the width of an actual canoe.
