this one, like the more expensive one, doesn't have a dedicated output, so the drum sounds go into your guitar amp, or you run your guitar direct?

I run mine at the end of my effects loop. The last pedal before going to the return. This works great, as the drum sounds only go to the power section of my amp keeping the sound clean and undistorted. If you are cranking the power section you would end up breaking up a little, but I use it for practice at low volume and still get oodles of gain from my pre amp on my guitar with a nice clean drum sound on the same amp and cab. I’m not sure why they don’t recommend setting it up this way? It works great for me!!

I'm using this on a pedal board. Any suggestions on where to put it in the signal chain?

Here's what is says it the Quick Start Guide: "If you are plugging in other pedals, the Beat Buddy Mini 2 should be the last on the pedal effects chain, after the looper, so that it's soundisn't affected by your other pedals. Not by those names but that doesn't mean that none of the available beats wouldn't work. You might even find a nice polka beat?
