Having worked from home for 10 months now, my recliner was becoming less and less desirable for my spine as my daily work base. Since I already had a study table I stole from my daughter, I just needed a chair. The one I had did not allow comfortable typing or arm rests or provide adequate back support. Hence began the search for something to address this "need".After reviewing countless options online and even visiting nearby stores, finalized the Featherlite Contact Project medium back chair. Delivery was indicated to happen in 4 days, but it came the very next day. Assembly was a breeze with the pictures even showing how you could use the box it came in to finish the mounting. This was useful as the chair is heavy and propping it up on the box while you finish assembly was a big help. But it does require some strength to do.Once assembled, I was delighted with how silent and smooth the wheels were when I moved around. No more scraping the floor each time I got up. The arm rests did elevate to a higher position and it helped my typing a great deal. Comfort is as is to be expected from a chair of this price bracket. It does not have as much back support as that is not a part of this model's features - there are other models that do include this.All in all, it was a value for money buy under 6K and I only think why did I not do this before?

I had two earlier itself, bought in 2014 from featherlite Bannerghatta Road (Bengaluru), got two now from Amazon now. Very comfortable, not loose and woobly and and as I mentioned, it is the ONLY chair I find anywhere with height adjustable armrest at this INR 6000 - 7000 price range.Assembly is easy, 9 nuts you have to put in place, using the packaging box as support and a nut wrench provided, took 10 to 15 mins for me, seeing the 3 page manual, no issue there at all though I was a bit skeptical at that front when I first got the online delivery.Overall, the best I can find online at this price range.

Writing the review after one full year usage.Bought this chair for WFH, just one week prior to lockdown in March 2020.Bought this chair as the same brand chairs are used in my office. Price to quality is excellent.Packaging was good for seat cushion and back support frame but very little packaging for the metal parts.Assembly was an easy task as Allen key is provided. All parts are of lasting quality.Comfort is very good however, the seat size being big (my height is 165 cms), if my back touches the back rest of chair, my feet are not completely grounded. Only toes can touch the ground. This induced back pain in few weeks.I had to put a big pillow to the chair to rest my back while my feet completly rested the floor.So, a smaller size seat should be preferred in case your height is less than 170 cms.Check dimensions and reckon the suitability.

Value for money

The seat is comfortable with good seat height and arm rests adjustment but I didn't like the fact that the backrest still moves by 1.5 inch when locked, it's not a malfunction because I've checked out this model of chair in the showroom and my office and they do the same, it's because of wrong choice of backrest lock used by the manufacturer.

Perfect entry level chair. Must have for someone with budget constraints. Height adjustable armrests is a plus. Feels comfortable.
