Amazingly simple and easy to use effectively on all wine corks, including long Port corks, old Bordeaux corks and everyday bottles. Expensive Rabbits and other contraptions may appear quicker, but they’re just quicker on the pull. When you add in the time to take out the rabbit, affix it to the bottle, pull the cork, detach from bottle, detach cork, this inexpensive device beats it hands down.

I have used this corkscrew several times over the last 6 weeks and it works great. The coated worm allows for easy entrance into the cork and the hinged mechanism makes it easy to get good leverage on the cork for an easy pull every time. Thus far it is holding up very well and we'll see what kind of longevity it has over time but at $10 each it is a pretty good deal.

Love the 2 stage pulling mechanism. Makes pulling corks VERY easy, even synthetic corks which are notoriously hard to pull. Am buying another one to give to a friend. ADDENDUM: I 1st reviewed this in April of this year, and it is 6 months later. Still love this cork screw. Very well made, love the hinge that allows it to conform to itself snugly when closed, and I did end up buying another for a friend. I had done that since I actually broke 2 corkscrews at that friends house the same night when trying to open up a bottle of Moscato...for the ladies of course...OK, YES- I DRANK SOME TOO!!! STOP JUDGING ME!!!

I bought this corkscrew as a Christmas gift in 2018. It works well, but the Teflon has worn off after only using it on a few bottles. While it still works fairly well, I am much happier with my TrueTap corkscrew I purchased at my local liquor store. Perhaps this is not a genuine item. I do not recommend this item as I can get the TrueTap for the same price. I am disappointed after reading many, many reviews here and on other websites touting the Pulltap's corkscrew. So, again, I question if this is the genuine item.

The hinged lever makes opening wine a breeze.

I’ve always used winged-style or Rabbit-type corkscrews but I got tired of them breaking so I thought I’d try a traditional one. I wish I’d done this sooner because this one by Pulltex is solid and easy to use. It’s also a great deal! I’m not sure why I was so intimidated to use this kind. I think it’s because in the past when I tried this type of corkscrew they were shoddy plastic ones and they didn’t work very well. The Pulltex corkscrew is the way to go.

It was great, until the worm broke after about 3 or 4 uses.

Don't bother with the clunky corkscrews that require a clasping lever-type action, have to get mounted to a table, or most importantly have to store some place. All you need is a good quality 2-stage opener, and I recommend this one. Apparently Pulltap is the name to get, but I don't care about brand as much as function. I've opened probably 2 cases of wine with this opener. It's solid, efficient, compact, and effective. If you like wine, buy this.
