These things are awesome for my kids who love playing “the floor is lava”!! They feel like legit durable playground equipment. They hold my sons weight (120 lbs) and even my husbands weight (160 lbs) and they feel sturdy enough to hold my weight (much more than theirs lol) though I haven’t put it to the test 😆. Pros - Fun colors, slightly tactile/textured tops, light enough for my 3 year old to move around, they stack up to create a “seat” and save space, and they are SUPER NON SLIP!!! I went to nudge one out of the way with my foot to vacuum and wether it’s on the carpet or hardwood floor they will NOT BUDGE! So I never have to worry about them jumping from one to the other and it slipping out from underneath them. Cons - the same way they can stack in order to make a lil seat, my 3 yr old also uses it to stand on top of to reach the counter top lol. At least I don’t worry about it falling apart or slipping from underneath her because they are set in place and really sturdy lol. No other cons so far a month in.

The product came and my first thought was that the product was much smaller than the picture on amazon. I put them out on the floor and was pleasantly surprised at their sturdiness, non slip grip on a wood floor, and I loved the bright colors as well as how they stack together for easy storage. They are not flat on top, so the child has a little bit of a challenge as they navigate stepping from one to the other (much like actual rock jumping). The tops are textured (bumpy) so they are not slippery. I bought them for my toddler Grandchildren who love to move! I can see us using them for many imaginative make believe interactive games. I am planning to buy another set of the same stepping stones to make our play even more fun! They are made in China, if that is an issue, the plastic has no odor, they are will made in my opinion.

My son's eyes lighted up the moment we set the pieces in a meandering path over the hardwood floor for the first time. It was as if we had created a little amusement park in our own house. While he was telling an imagined expedition in which the floor was made of molten lava and each good landing earned him "explorer points," he jumped from one stone to the next with his arms held out wide for balance. Within a few minutes, he was coming up with new tasks, such as hopping only on one foot, changing directions while in the air, or maintaining his position while counting out loud. When compared to conventional toys, which depend on flashing lights and music effects, these impromptu variants kept him occupied for a far longer period of time. In addition to the fact that they are entertaining, the stones have been shown to be very helpful in improving coordination. In the beginning of the training sessions, he wobbled considerably anytime a landing was off-center, but by the conclusion of the second week, his posture had gradually become more stable. I put him through a fun test in which I asked him to stand on one leg atop a stone while reciting the alphabet. He was able to complete the full sequence without falling over. Similar progress was seen at the playground, where he now climbs the rope ladder with a greater sense of self-assurance and a much reduced number of instances in which he yells out, "Mom, help!"
