Best Water Bottle
I bought 4 of these water bottles before school started in August of 2012. My kids take their lunches to school almost every day & I've never found a water bottle that will keep things cold until they eat lunch. These bottles can be put in the freezer and will stay cold for hours!! The best way I've found is to put just a little water in, freeze at an angle so there is a piece of ice all the way down the bottle, then fill with water or other liquid. (I got this tip from another review on here!!) This will stay cold until after school this way. Even just putting ice cubes in and then cool water works very well, too if I forget to freeze the night before. My daughter uses hers daily for school and dance. My son uses his daily for school & Tae Kwon Do. I use mine a couple times a week when I exercise or just to take to work. I hand wash, even though it says dishwasher safe. Just because I don't want to take chances. They are easy to clean with a bottle brush. We mostly use just water in them, but have put Crystal Light or Mio Drops in them and it washes out easily. These bottles don't leak. They are easy to squeeze and are very pretty. Lots of color choices. I highly recommned these bottles. I read LOTS of reviews before I decided to order. Totally worth the money. I waited to write my reveiw until I'd had them for awhile & could say for sure how they worked. We've been using daily for 6 months with no problems. Great water bottles.....AND made in the USA, too!!!!

Keeps water cool enough
This bottle does work as it is said, and on long bicycle rides you does need to have two bottles, one frozen and one chilled to last you 5-6 hours. I have one bottle and it keeps water cool for atleast 2-3 hours in 40-45 degrees Celsius, but water needs to be really chilled or partly frozen.

The insulation looks like someone jammed a bag in the front of it
Not sure on how it works but it is ugly! The insulation looks like someone jammed a bag in the front of it. I thought there was a bag on the inside and the bottle was clear or something but it literally is the design.

Keeps Drinks Cold for Hours
Excellent product! I will ride 40-80 miles at a shot, and this water bottle will keep the drinks cold for the entire ride. To this (as others have noted), you need to have "some amount" of liquid that you've frozen -- i.e., pre-fill the water with the mount of liquid you intend to freeze, put the water bottle in the freezer, and then (just before the ride) remove it from the freezer and fill the rest with cold liquid.Obviously, the more you freeze, the longer it stays cold. I use two of these water bottles; I freeze one of them half way, and use it on the first half of the ride; the other one I freeze completely, and (on a hot day) it's ready for use on the second half of the ride. That doesn't mean it has completely thawed by the second half -- but enough of it has thawed that I can start drinking, and the frozen/still-thawing chunk that's in there helps to keep the liquid portion nice and cold. These water bottles fit perfectly in standard bicycle cages. I loved mine so much that I bought a bunch for my wife and son (12yo, pretty serious road biker) -- and they are 'sold' on these water bottles, too!One last note: You will see in the picture that the water bottles come with carrying loops. As a road biker, I don't like any extra sh*t on my bike -- especially anything that adds to wind resistance. Those loops were the first things to go -- and BTW, they pop off (and back on) pretty easily. LUCKILY, I saved the loops, because when I purchased my wife's and son's water bottles, I (1) noticed how convenient they were for carrying the water bottles while also carrying a bunch of other stuff, and, thus, (2) decided that I could mount the water bottles, with the loops still on them, in such a way that they would not interfere with removing or reinserting the water bottles while riding, and also would not catch [much?] wind/add drag. And so now the loops are back on my water bottles, and I'm actually pretty happy with them. (I'm sure there are some who are reading this and saying, "Idiot. You should have figured that out in the first place." And they may be right. But for those who look at the loops and think, "Not On MY Bike!" I figured I would share my experience.)If you're a reasonably serious biker, I highly recommend these water bottles. They are the best thing to come along in biking since electronic shifting.... :-)
