Very good and low price controller
Pwm but does the job designed for.Small and compact, load on after dusk and sets off after a definite set time. No manual override, unless 24hr option selected from menu.Dusk to dawn feature not in option of settings. But my required functions are Ok, being used in stand-alone staircase ltg system. Required after sunset and for 4-5 hrs only.

Solar charger controller 12/24 10amps
Good product working fine I am using this charge controller to charge old bike battery 12v 5ah from 7.78v to 13.8 volt it will charge morning 6:am to 1:,pm noon. Using 12v 10watt solar panel current out put 0.37amp to 0.43 amp at the time of 11:30 am to 12:00 pm noon. We can't see battery ah in this. You can select full charge voltage cut off voltage load on off by one click battery and panel voltage..

Good
It works well. It is a 10 A solar charge controller. I have used it for charging 7 Ah lead acid battery. It also has dusk to dawn mode.

QUESTIONABLE CHARGER (SHORT TERM REVIEW)
Controller MODEL YSS10 rated at a max 10AMain display shows1- voltage of the battery2- If solar panel is connected and charging3- If load is connected.---------------------------SETTINGSCONFIRMED WORKING1* Discharge stop limit OR Discharge cut off (default 10.7v) (variable)2* Discharge reconnect. If the battery is completely discharged it won’t connect to the load unless the charge voltage reached 12.6v (default 12.6v) (variable)3* Work mode time counter to determine day and night after sun rise (can be set from 0 -24) (default 24hr).NOT CONFIRMED WORKING4* 3 modes of charging set voltage for battery 14.4 14.2 and 14.6 for sealed, gel and flood respectively (default 14.4v)5* float voltage selection (Default 13.7v)---------------------------TEST CONDITIONSBattery 12v7ah VRLA open voltage 11.9v,Power sources (consecutively)1. Power supply for mimicking solar panel set at 20v 1 amp.2. 40W solar panel.Meters for measuring voltage, current and scope for frequency and pulse width of MOSFETs.CHARGING PROCESSFOR CHARGING there are two MOSFETs one is for adjusting frequency and another one for varying pulse width.Step one - Frequency MOSFET completely open. PWM MOSFET 96.5% duty cycle at 1.675Hz(Probably bulk charging mode) 1amp.Step two - When the battery voltage reaches 14.4 pulse width is modulated and the voltage is kept constant. while the frequency is adjusted (2Hz to 25 Hz) probably to minimize the current)The current never falls below 0.300AContinuing to do so the battery temperature increased quickly which is not a good sign therefor I had to disconnect the battery from the controller.---------------------------CONCLUSIONNOTE :- I probably think that the presets and charge conditions of the controller are more suitable for FLOODED BATTERIES.Absence of current limiting circuit may destroy VRLA batteries (GEL cells) with prolonged use.It is best to match the solar panel wattage and battery in order to reduce the possibility of overcharging.Over load and discharge protections are working as mentioned it is better to increase the lower cut off to 11.3V in order to increase the health of the battery.AGE and health of the battery is yet to be determined.MY OVERALL RATING IS PRESENTLY 4/10. ( will optimist after connecting a flooded battery and monitoring its health)---------------------------QUERY1. I do not understand why the manufacturer has provided float voltage adjustment level I do not see any float charging.2. There is difference(occasionally) in the voltage displayed in the LCD screen and battery terminal voltage. (after reaching 14.4v).3. Battery selection B01, B02,B03 doesn’t seem to be working (There is no change in set equalization voltage level its always 14.4V).4. The manual says that the controller is not suitable for any other power source other than solar panel.5. The charger claims to have an equalization algorithm. Equalizing is an overcharge performed on flooded lead acid batteries after they have been fully charged. Many experts recommend that batteries be equalized periodically, ranging anywhere from once a month to once or twice per year also it needs to be closely monitored during the process.
