The Scriptures 3rd Edition

I'd been reading this translation on the YouVersion app for over a year. I got to the point where I didn't want to read from my old book with the pagan names in it anymore, so I was almost exclusively reading on my phone. But during shabbat, I like to unplug from technology as much as I can, so I finally ordered a physical copy of TS2009.This translation is beautiful, and even more beautiful are the Names of our Abba and His Only Begotten Son (YHUH and Yahusha!) which are restored to Their rightful place in the text! I love all the Hebrew names of the books as well and that this is a literal translation for the most part, rather than thought for thought.It takes some getting used to when you first begin to read, but it's truly a baraka (blessing) as you grow in understanding of the hebrew terms and the terms/phrases used that are closer to those of the original texts (e.g. 'slaughter place' rather than altar, 'being' instead of soul, etc.)I purchased the hardcover edition, and it is extremely well-made. It has two ribbon book marks (blue and white like tzit-tzits which i thought was cool), built-in tabs and rich lettering (bold for the Names). I'm confident that the soft cover one is similar in quality just based upon my purchase and experience with this translation.Overall, cannot recommend this translation enough to those who seek the truth and want to grow closer to the Father through His Son!! May Yasharel learn to walk in YHUH's Ways; with Him is much redemption!!

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to buy a new translation of the Bible to read and found this one and I'm so happy I did! I just recently found out I'm Jewish, so it's super cool learning the original Hebrew names and having the Old Testament laid out in the original Hebraic order of the Tanak. It's making me have to stop and study, which keeps my mind engaged, helps it not wonder, and helps me retain more information.I also bought the silver 25th anniversary version for my friend who is a Messianic Jew; she had never seen anything like it and was so happy!My teenage son became very curious after I bought mine, so he had me get him one too!The only thing that's odd for me about it is the spelling of some of the Hebrew names doesn't always match up with what Google initially says, but it seems the more I go down the rabbit hole, I'm finding the original spelling was closer to The Scriptures version than what is common in Hebrew today.

This is a wonderful Bible that has put back some very important Hebrew words and names. The translation from Hebrew to English is straightforward. Very easy to understand and a great resource bible.

I really like this book on the Scriptures. The pages are a bit thin but I think that's typical with most bibles due to the number of pages. I've been referring to it quite a bit and have only had it about a week. I like that I can take it with me when I go out of town due to it's relative small size. I also like that the Real/authentic Hebrew names are used (Elohim, etc.) and the explanation of that in the first few pages.

Absolutely wonderful

I love the isr scriptures bible, & I've bought the regular size bible, the large print bible, & the pocket size bible. My only complaint is with the pocket size version, the print is too tiny & I can't read it without using a magnifier. I wanted the pocket size so I could keep it in my purse when I'm on the go. It would be great if the company would make a better version of the pocket size bible with a little bit bigger print.
