Barska Huntmaster Crosshair Reticle Rifle Scope for Hunting & Target Shooting

Did a bunch of research on cheaper scopes before making a purchase and this one was recommended. The cross hairs light up, which makes it great for night hunting. The view in the scope is nice and clear and has stayed zero'd after firing a decent amount of rounds through it. If you're looking for a cheaper scope and want good quality, this one is recommended. None of my rifles, bows or other hunting equipment is babied or kept for show n tell. It gets used, abused and dirty on a regular basis. All of my field testing is under hard use and conditions...With the weather being what it is, I still have not made to the range to get the scope perfectly zeroed. I did, however get it lined up with my laser and iron sights before heading out the the ranch. I love the fact that no tools are needed for adjustments like my other scopes. So far here are my findings:It does add quite a bit of bulk to the rifle, after six hours of tracking and hunting the rifle did become fairly heavy. Not a bad thing but just something I noticed. While out in the woods, I had to adjust the scopes focus a few times for the changing distances that I was scanning. I feel I should mount a lever to the rear adjustment for faster and easier adjustments without taking my eye from the scope. (this is me getting used to it) I fired a few rounds off and the scope never moved, since they missed, I have no idea of the accuracy of the scope yet. I have got to get it to a range and sight it in.The seller shipped the product and I received it quickly. Packaging kept it safe as well.

A decent scope at a good price. I really like the reticule. That is what sold me on this one.

This is a very good value for the money and very versatile. I own two of them: 1 mounted on my blackpowder muzzleloader and the other on my 10/22. Stands up well against shock, nice visibility and clarity through the scope - a bit blurry in substantial low-light. Once sighted in I was stacking rounds at 50yds with the 10/22.Once sighted in with my blackpowder muzzleloader, I was stacking rounds at 100yds and bagged 3 deer in a weekend, hitting my targets precisely where I had the crosshairs - 90yds.Recommend that users take the extra time and attention in getting the scope mounted (lok-tite screws) and sighted properly. Consistently using the proper/desired grain&ammunition will also make a huge difference on where your groupings end up on the target. There is no substitution for this process, and if done correctly, this scope will live up to and exceed it's expectation. Funny when you stand it up against it's $200-$500 competitors and it performs just as well.One star deduction for being made in CHINA.

I purchased this scope to go along with my UTG Shadow Ops L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle. The product was promptly shipped and packaged well.Pros:When the scope arrived i realized that it had a battery lit Reticule, This was a very nice suprise. the eye Relief and Zoom function both work very well and are easy to use even with gloves on before or during combat. The Scope covers are clear and can be kept on during combat.Neutral:One of the screw recievers on the Rings that came with the gun stripped on me when i was mounting the scope, This was due to over-tightening i believe and i would not have mentioned it as a complaint except that it was only over tightened because the rings do not close 100% on both sides of the scope. There is a gap big enough to fit a dime on either side of each bracket. This isnt perfect but also not a huge problem as the scope can be tightened well enough if you are more careful than i was and go a quarter turn on the wrench then alternate back and forth.Cons:My first time using this scope was on a rainy day in Washington State (go figure) and we were playing Sniper Hunter, 3 guys with Gas Powered Airsoft Pistols vs me, i had the terrain advantage of getting to place myself first, and they had to hunt me down, I forged through undergrown and brush and got into position and waited, my gun on my chest for them to pass in front of me, (i was leaning against a tree in a thicket) When the first guy came across i lifted the gun to sight in on him and the scope was fogged up and covered in water. I didnt have the Lens Caps with me but i think they would fix the problem, Keep the scope covers on while moving quickly (Gun slung on back) then remove them once you are placed (Gun Horizontal) so nothing gets on the lenses.For the Record, the 3 guys against me were in pairs of 2, I took the first one out as he was walking towards me with my pistol(He was too close to justify a sniper shot), took out the 2nd guy as he responded to the first guy with my sniper (About 15seconds apart). 5-10minutes later the 3rd guy came around (They had separated 2:1) and i went to snipe him but my Lenses were fogged again from my breath on the scope, I am new to Airsoft Sniping so my tecnique was probably terrible but that was the problem i had so im mentioning it, Im going to look into anti-fog spray and flip down lens covers as well as pay more attention to my positioning. :) Sorry for the short essay but wanted to give a good grasp of the product.

I have bought Barska products in the past and I have always been satisfied with the price and quality of their products. However, this scope sets a new level of getting a rifle scope with quality like this for a price of under $100. I bought this scope for my Smith & Wesson I-Bolt 30-06. I was blown away by how well this scope is made and how great it did in the field. I shot about 8 rounds to get it sighted in and it has held its zero perfectly since. I have fired close to 75 rds with this scope on my rifle and I have not had a single problem. The IR crosshairs work superb in low light conditions making that early mourning buck kill shot a breeze. The only possible negative thing that I can say is that when it is zoomed in 12x it does get a slight bit fuzzy but not how some of the other people are saying it is. I can still shoot dead on at 200+ yards easy with it zoomed at 12x. I absolutely love this scope and I might even buy another one just to have it. At this price, its worth it.

This scope is a great buy for the money, but isn't as rugged it's advertised to be. Case in point I had this scope zeroed at 200 yards before drop my rifle accidentally. After the drop I cannot get my rifles the zeroed again. Overall I was initially satisfied with my purchases and would recommend this scope to an friend

The cross hairs are at a slight angle from factory,barska is hard to get ahold of

Have it on my 45-70, big kick, sighted it in ,never lost center.Impressed that such an affordable scope could handle the cannon. One box of shells through it with that scope,so far,so good.

I give this scope a 5* in its class as a 3-9x40 budget scope with no illuminating reticles.I’ve got it on my 7.62x39 SKS and it with stands the recoil no problem while holding zero. I’ve shot well over 100 rounds through it and it’s still holding up strong! And I really like the cool looking reticle!

Great optic for the price. Zero’d easily and seems to grab a lot of light. Can’t wait to get it out hunting.
