A terrific teapot!
I am very happy with this teapot and the seller--he reached out to me, asking how the teapot is working for me. Well, Josh at SAKI, it is working out great! I am extremely happy with it. It came in its own box nestled in 2 foam cutouts, so there is no danger of breakage in transit. The stainless steel strainer is extremely fine so that only tea leaf "dust" can get through it, but not any leaves. There is a little slit in the top of the teapot to accommodate the little handle on the strainer. I find that with loose rooibos leaves, it holds 5 cups of water without overfilling it. For me, it is the perfect size to make 1 quart (or liter) of iced rooibos. While the 5 cups of water are heating, I add about 3/4 - 1 cup of water to a 4-cup measure and add ice cubes to the 3-cup line; I pour this into an iced tea dispenser. Once the tea has finished steeping, I pour it into the dispenser. I allow a little time for the leaves to drain into the teapot and add this to the dispenser. Refrigerated, the tea gets cold in no time! In my old teapot, I had to make 2 batches for 1 quart of iced tea. In the SAKI, I can do it in 1 batch. I really like this teapot. Update: I am still really liking this teapot. The spout does not drip onto the counter after pouring. There is an indentation on the inside just under the spout; in it, tiny rooibos remnants collect and prevents them from pouring out with the tea. A lot of thought went into this teapot's excellent design.

Solid design
I've been using this for well over a year now, and it's been reliable. Good size and the strainer works well. Keeps the heat nicely too.

nice pot, great customer service, but can't make a full pot with small loose leaf teas
first, i want to say the customer service is wonderful. i had a minor concern and they responded very promptly and tried to help me resolve it. they even followed up with me to make sure everything was good. i really can't say enough good things about their customer support, and that really does mean a lot. it is also a really nice looking pot, and is actually no-drip. first time ever i have used a pot that truly does not drip when you pour from it. that is really nice. and the quality of the ceramic is really good. that being said, i find there are serious design flaws in the strainer that make the pot far less than it could be. i don't mind the plastic particularly (not my favorite, but not enough to prompt my review), but the gaps in it allow loose leaf tea to get out into the pot itself if you put in enough water to come even close to filling the pot. it looks like you can only fill it about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way before the tea leaves get into the tea. considering the amount of tea my household goes through, this makes for a lot more work. this is possibly only a problem with certain types of tea, but our main kind is a CRC, so it is small to begin with. if you were using tea bags or larger tea like a green or something, you may not have this problem at all. the strainer also doesn't really have enough holes. you're best bet is to put the water in the pot, up to about 2/3 full, then put the strainer with tea leaves in, wait for it to actually sink, and slowly top it off until the water comes up to the top of the metal part of the strainer. again, a lot of extra work. i tried pouring the water in through the strainer, and it took forever. i also have some issues with the lid. the opening is very large, which makes it easy clean, but once you take the strainer out the lid fits kind of loosely and shifts around a lot while pouring. it doesn't fall out, but i'm always afraid it will. at least it does have the tab on the lid to help hold it in.

Excellent! Quality!! Large capacity big enough for my wonderful green teas. The top fits nicely and keeps my tea 🫖 nice and hot!!! Beautiful shape just right for me. Gorgeous black ceramic very thick smooth, and durable… Love the shape and the handle as well… What is not to like especially for a great cup of tea ☕️!!

Well designed tea pot and strainer
Pro: First, I was impressed by how well protected the teapot was for shipping safely. I very much like the way the strainer basket fits into the teapot. There's an indent in the rim of the teapot. The top of the strainer is plastic, so it's handle fits safely into that indent. The lid has a little an extension that fits through the strainer so that it is secured to the teapot. It pours reasonably well, and it doesn't take long to experiment so that it doesn't drip. Better than 90% of the many teapots I've tried. Con: The hole in the strainer for the handle plus other slits in the plastic top part let some loose tea out into the teapot if the teapot is filled to where the plastic top of the strainer begins. To prevent loose tea getting out, you can only the teapot to about 43 fluid ounces. If you fill the teapot to the rim without the basket, you get just about the 50 ounces of water. Since I like more than 43 ounces to brew at a time, I placed my old metal strainer inside the included strainer. I was able to fill the teapot to about 48 ounces depending on how much loose tea I added without getting tea loose in the pot. Bottom line: I like this teapot a lot. I brew about a gallon a day, especially during the hot months of summer.
