Will it go through quartz’s ?

I don't see why not as it does go thru glass. People who deal in rocks & minerals use diamond coated drills for their projects. You have to use a fairly slow RPM and feed very slowly while also using lots of water & a "woodpecker" method to allow water to cool the hole and the drill.
