Sealey ATD25301 AUTO RETRACT RATCHET TIE DOWN STRAP 25MM X 3 METRE *PACK OF 2*

I bought these for use in an industrial maintenance environment to quickly lash components down whilst moving them around site. The Sealey auto retract ratchet straps certainly do make my life a lot easier, no more pulling endless reams of tangling strap - instead just the push of the red button and the strap mechanism auto-reels in the excess strapping from which you can operate the ratchet to gain tension as per a conventional ratchet strap. To release, just push the red button and pull - dead easy and straight forward. If only Sealey made a heavier duty industrial version..... :) Really good piece of kit, certainly would buy more. Only criticism is that the gauge of steel from which they are made is slightly flimsy and I would have preferred them to be manufactured from thicker/material. In general though, cheap and makes life a whole lot easier.

Once you figure out how it works it brilliant! I use them in my WAV to secure the mobility scooter for transit and the fact that the hook pulls out like a seatbelt makes it easy to connect and you are not left with any excess strap dangling around causing a trip hazard. The ratchet provides good tensioning as well. The only downside is the total lack of instructions to get you started! I have also bought the 2 inch wide version and that didn’t have instructions either! If it had instructions it would merit 5 stars.

Have bought four sets of these now as every time friends sees them they want to steel mine. I use them for work but two of my friends use them when carrying their motor bikes in a a van. No signs of wearing out on my original set which I've had two years now. I loved that they self wrap and that you can operate one handed.

I love these bits of kit, they are so easy to use and they keep the webbing all nice and tidy. Got two to start with then when I saw how well they worked I got two more.
