The Illusion of Life (Disney Editions Deluxe)

大学生のときに図書館に通い、読みました。 プロアニメーターになって10年、改めて読みたいと思いハードカバー版（英語版）を買いました。 今になっても貴重な経験で楽しく読んでいます。 2回目読もうとたくらんで、2回目にはいっぱいメモをしようと思います。 575ページもので、重いです。カバーをはずして、家でくつろぎながら読んでいます。

アニメーションの立ち上がりから大切な要素まで詰め込まれている素晴らしい本でした。高くて断念し、英語版を読んだのですが、本当は翻訳版重版して欲しい。

ディズニーのアニメーションの製作工程や、ノウハウなどが 詳しくのっていて、アニメーションの勉強している方などにはとても役立つと思います。 文章は英語ですが、絵を見ているだけでもとても楽しめる内容です。 ページの隅にあるパラパラ漫画のように見れる絵が、とてもユニークです。

Bastante bueno, habla mucho sobre la historia del trabajo de los estudios Disney, trata temas y principios de la animación y muestra bocetos o fragmentos de animaciones hechos por ellos. Aunque para mi gusto le falta profundizar en la metodología de la animación si da muy buenos consejos en este tema, y las imágenes a color son muy bellas. No podía faltar en mi colección de libros.

What a gorgeous book! Beautifully illustrated (as you would expect), high quality and so much content. The perfect gift for fans of Disney and students of animation. One small note - the product images show a signed copy of a different edition of the book. (I’m glad I guessed that might not be the case or I might have been disappointed! No idea why they can’t include the correct images, but wanted to give a wee warning)

This book is FANTASTIC. I am a college student trying to learn traditional animation and this book is perfect. I have spent countless hours bookmarking pages and annotating things like a crazy person because of how much there is to learn from this, even just in the tiny side notes! There is so much attention to even the tiniest of details, and even after going through this book countless times, I feel as if I am always learning something new. I cannot emphasize how good this book is even for people who are not into learning animation. This is my go-to coffee table book now; every person who comes into my dorm for the first time looks at the book for at least an hour (no I am not kidding) The quality of the pages is amazing - anyone who picks up this book can tell how well it was made.
