My experience with the PLEGBLE PL516 drone has been a journey of managing expectations, and for what it is, it holds its own. Being accustomed to more advanced drones, I approached this ultra-lightweight model knowing it's designed for beginners and casual fun. In fact, I bought it with my nephew in mind, recognizing its potential as a great entry point for a new pilot. Its main advantage is its sub-250-gram weight, meaning no FAA registration hassles, which is a huge convenience for simply wanting to fly. That lightness, however, makes it quite susceptible to wind; I've found my most enjoyable flights are either indoors or on perfectly calm days, as even a gentle breeze can push it around. In truly still conditions, though, it manages to hold its position surprisingly well. Battery life is decent, with the two included batteries giving me a combined total of around 22-28 minutes of flight, roughly 11 minutes per battery with active use. I've noticed a significant drain during maneuvering compared to just hovering. The "4K camera" claim is a bit of a mixed bag; photos do come out in 4K, which is a nice touch, but the overall image quality won't compete with a modern smartphone, let alone a higher-end drone. More puzzlingly, the video seems to be stuck at 720p for me, despite the 4K advertising, a point I'll need to clarify with support. Despite the current lack of 4K video as advertised, I'm giving this drone a 5-star rating due to its impressive performance for an entry-level drone in this price range. For someone like my nephew who is looking to learn the ropes of drone flying, or for anyone just wanting a fun, low-commitment toy, the PL516 is a solid choice. It's forgiving, easy to operate with features like one-key takeoff/landing, and responsive enough to teach fundamental controls. Just don't expect it to rival professional equipment; instead, consider it a nice, accessible entry into the world of flight.

I recently purchased this small drone with a built-in camera and a remote control featuring a screen display, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it! The drone is incredibly easy to fly, even for a beginner like me, and the camera captures stunningly clear photos and videos. The remote’s screen display is a game-changer, providing real-time visuals that make navigating and framing shots a breeze. Its compact design, reliable battery life, and responsive controls make it perfect for both casual fun and aerial photography. I highly recommend this drone to anyone looking for an affordable, high-quality option!

I've had a blast with this drone! Honestly, I was a little intimidated at first, but it was surprisingly easy to get the hang of. The setup was quick, and the controls feel intuitive—it practically flies itself! The camera quality is sharp, capturing some truly stunning aerial shots that make my backyard look like a movie set. Battery life is decent, giving me just enough time to scratch that flying itch. If you're looking for a fun, reliable drone that's great for beginners and still delivers a solid performance, this is the one to get. Five stars!

The only that part that actually worked was the button that made it Auto take off and Auto land but I couldn't get the camera to work. I took it outside and I used the auto take off to get it up in the air and then it started drifting off over my pasture which would have been fine but I couldn't control it at all. It was doing its own thing so I pushed all the land which it did and then my horses ran over and started investigating so I was worried they were going to stomp on it so I had to take off again and at that point it went up in the air and it just kept going away from you. No matter which button or which controller I tried to use. It didn't matter. It just kept getting farther and farther away until I eventually watched it disappear into the trees at the end of my pasture and I haven't found it since. I absolutely would not recommend this to anybody, it's worthless if you can't control it. How stupid of a device. It's a drone. You're supposed to be able to control where you want it to go.... Unfortunately I can't even vouch for the camera because I couldn't get the app and they camera part to work and it was just just a test flight that I sent up and I never got it back after that. So don't waste your money on this piece of crap.
