Z-Flex 2SVSHTD03 Z-Vent Term Hood W/Damper 3 in

Internal damper was broken when delivered - see picture of damper inside. I was able to fix with needle-nosed pliers, but a good wind will probably pull the damper off again.The damper was poorly designed, so failure is quite likely. Even when assembled correctly, it will rattle and not seal well. It seems that the goal was to only use one material (sheet stainless) and don’t worry about the consequences of that decision. Using a piece of rod or wire for the pivot would have made a big improvement. And perhaps a minimal rubber or silicone gasket would help with sealing and to reduce noise in wind and exhaust usage.
