These DO NOT strip wire. These crimp wire ferrels only, they do not strip anything. The ones that strip are part number 13 82 8/ 6 in one. Amazon groups part numbers and reviews together and makes everything confusing. I hope i helped answer your question.

Can you splice with these like regular pliers twisting 10s and 12s together?

I guess you could, however I use my linemen if i want to pre-twist before i use a wire-nut. I don't see the need to always pre-twist especially when only doing a splice and I don't like to use needle-nose to pre-twist because normally I'm am twisting a number of wires.
