​Review of the Carbon Shield Case ​I like this case a lot. It is very slim and stylish. I don't see the point of putting a bulky case on such a thin phone, adding unnecessary weight. I also like that it has no front cover; from my previous experience, the front part scratches the phone and falls off easily. It also limits the experience when using the front screen. I also installed the anti-reflecting film that was included with the case which is a great feature. While I'm enjoying the case for daily use, I do share the concerns mentioned in other reviews. I'm not confident that it would provide enough protection against a serious drop. Also, the price feels a bit too high.

This was very poorly designed overall. It causes the phone to be 10 times harder to “unfold” because the case sits in a way that causes a bit of an overlap, so unless you have longer fingernails opening the device is a nightmare. The kick stand; again, is totally flush and it unfortunately produces the same issue so if you don’t have longer fingernails it’s incredibly difficult to open. The case should have an accompanying silicone frame that goes over the main screen so that both sides are flush which would have allowed opening the device to be so much easier because you’d have a grip on both screens as you unfold the phone. Also, the kick stand really needed a dip/dimple to allow opening it way easier. This overall just feels like an expensive, incomplete product. It was easy to install, it fits snuggly and secure , the color is nice and doesn’t produce finger smudges but its functionality is very poor.

The screen protector feels nice so far and the antiglare seems to do it's job pretty well. I would say it's not the best for drop protector but if you plan to use it with a case then it's great for the scratch protection and antiglare properties. The screen protector is pretty thin. I use the Thinborne carbon fiber case. The case just sits on top of the screen protector and doesn't interfere with each other. I've seen a few people complain about the application. Just follow the instructions and if you get a line in the center from the installation process. Just give a day or two. It'll eventually work itself out. A little massaging can help too.

Reliable product

Not sure I would buy again. Basic case, fits well and is very thin. The quality is decent but not sure worth the high price. Only "feature" is the kick stan which is very fragile and detached once already. The screen protector was not that easy to apply-id say medium difficulty because neither of bottom films would roll off smoothly. I had to throw away one of them as it had a crease down the middle-where the two bottom films meet. Luckily the 2nd one was ok and I got it on with pretty much no bubbles at the edges. If you are looking for proper protection this is not the case for you. So far only benefit of this over other cases is the thin, minimalist look.
