Escalon 6 in 1 All Purpose Ground Tomatoes, 6 lb 9 oz Can

I live alone and I am on a very tight budget. What I do Is buy this Big Can. And I make a sauce and either can it, or freeze in one cup servings. So anytime I want or need sauce. I have it.Also I have a dehydrator, I am going to dehydrate some and make a powder, then just add a tablespoon to a cup of water. Or more or less to find the right consistency I need. I hope this helps someone. Also I believe the 6 in 1 is just a name. Because I only get 1 can. But I believe It has 106 oz.s . And to me That’s a deal. And If you subscribe you pay even less. I am definitely satisfied with this product of canned tomatoes.

My family has been using these canned pureed tomatoes for generations. My grandmother taught me how to make sauce with these. Great flavor, good product. Didnt notice a change when they were bought by the big corporation. There are six VARIETIES of tomatoes in this product. Noticed some negative comments about 6 CANS. Keep it up Heinz! Great product!

I am into canning and these cans of tomatoes can make the job a lot easier. Good quality, you’re not getting scrap pieces of tomatoes. Good taste.

I already did this review once; I guess because I included the PRICE-?? they wouldn't accept it. The POINT I was making, was IN THE TITLE--it says "PACK OF 6". In ENGLISH, that means there are SIX to a PACK or BOX that I was expecting to receive. I only received ONE for the PRICE that I paid--NOT worth it. YES, it is a big can--but it was also VERY dented--I already took pictures and sent them in. So as GOOD as this can of tomatoes may be taste-wise, it is isn't worth getting when it's only ONE can.

We make homemade pizza and use the 6-in-1 tomatoes exclusively. My adult children come to visit and specifically ask for homemade pizza (we call it "decorate your own" pizza).The tomatoes are full of flavor and have a definite brightness to the taste. I like it without any seasoning, while my wife likes to sprinkle on pizza seasonings. My two kids can go either way.I tried many sauces and tomatoes over the years before finally settling on the 6-in-1 brand. We have not looked back.

Product is great! Great flavor. Great for making large batches of sauce and reasonably priced. The packaging is not so great. The cans need to be wrapped in bubble wrap. Each time we’ve ordered they have arrived dented - sometimes minor dents and sometimes with considerably sized dents.

I admit I was reluctant to order, due to the myriad of reviews i read of customers receiving damaged cans. After reading how good this product was to make spaghetti & pizza sauce, & my never ending quest to find an economical solution, I decided to do just a small order of 2 cans to start. Surprise & happy, my order was delivered intact. No dents or smooshed cans. Admittedly, Amazon could use some packing materials between cans to prevent this. Why they don’t, is something I don’t understand. The cans were delivered loose in the box. I guess I was lucky, & I don’t believe my order had far to travel. I have recieved smaller unbreakable items wrapped with tons of bubble wrap in boxes 4 times the size of the item. Ok on to the sauce. Thick & wonderful, I could eat it out of the can with a spoon. My sauce is simmering nicely, not too acidic, a nice balance of sweet with a smooth texture in the mouth. The tomato really shines through. Yep, it’s a keeper, I’ll order more!!!
