are these mid rise? Why it is NOT labeled properly.

It is labeled properly. These are low-rise waistline. Good for a person who doesn't want mid-rise. Especially good for a man like me with a big belly. I don't want to purchase a larger size mid-rise to stretch the waistband over my belly, so I purchased these low-rise briefs and they fit very nicely just below my belly.

Order XL size. They will shrink when washed..

What waist size is small? Is it 32 inches?

No way is a 32 inch waist a size small. I’m a 29 waist and after one wash I could barely get my stuff into them. Go with the medium for sure!
