Hammer Time!
So far so good! I've used the Snow Peak Peg Hammer with Copper Head to drive in tent stakes on 3 camping trips and to tack in nails for running power in my home. The copper head definitely makes a difference when it comes to directional force and it being so lightweight and effective has allowed for a whole new tier of camp setup helpers because there is no more need for a heavy sledge even in tough impacted and rocky terrain. It's not noisy like banging 2 metal pipes together and the shape is unique. The copper head WILL be impacted by every impact so it will become a bit malformed (by design) but i think this just makes this tool that much more fun and interesting. The length of the handle may feel a bit on the smaller end for a larger person but remember it doesn't require as much power to drive intended objects....also when it comes to packing down gear for long treks the shorter handle is extremely practical. The hook in the back is literally PERFECT for pulling out the Snow Peak Solid Stakes (an item i highly recommend and the reason i bought this hammer to begin with) and also for gaining leverage on the go when in need. All-in-all a solid unique hammer and probably one of the best options for driving stakes i've ever come across. Happy Hammering!

I am highly impressed
It obviously was designed and built by a person who was a camper or bushcrafter! Perfect length and weigh for dealing with tent and tarp stakes. The handle is shaped perfectly and with texture in the wooden grip area that makes it easy to hold on to. And let's mention the strap...perfect length for getting a full grip when using, and it is a strong strap. The whole hammer is well built in every way.

Fast, Quiet
I am glad I splurged for the copper top. It is quieter than steel on steel, and indeed softer on the hand and wrist. My massive steel pegs went in so much easier than with my old household hammer, and the peg remover end makes teardown quick and easy. This tool is saving me time, aggravation, joint pain, and hearing loss! I hope it lasts many years. Worth the price.

Good quality
Works well with the snow peak #20 & 30 stakes. The webbing helps with the leverage when removing the stakes. The copper head gets banged up but looks like it will last. Also good for making arrow heads due to the copper head. Would recommend.Update - Have been using hammer for three years. Over 30 campout and still holding up. The copper is worn down a bit but still works. I get lots of comments about the hammer.

Well balnced and reduced impact to wrist.
Nice grip and nice weight balnce.Definitely feel less impact due to copper head than hammer with steel head.

Copper Head !!!
Copper head will reduce the force back to your hand, so it is the way to go, but cost more; if you have a big tent or need to hammer a lot of pegs, get it and save your armStylish hammer, made in Japan

Buy one- don't lose it-you'll be glad you did
Not a real heavy hammer, but heavy enough to work and carry. The strap is a real plus- it'll keep the hammer in your hand easily and firmly. Also it is very useful pulling stakes out. Recommend for big tarps since it is easy to carry and has multiple functions.

Great addition to my camping kit
Ok- it’s an expensive hammer but it is a really good expensive hammer. I had a few spare buck$ laying around and decided to bling out my camp gear. Would gladly buy again as this will last a lifetime. The stake puller is a great feature as is the copper face... only you can prevent forest fires!
