Samuel Groves ovenware.
These cooking/ baking trays are really well made, lightweight, don’t distort, extremely easy to clean. We have about 16 in our kitchen in 4 different sizes. My partner who is a retired chef poo pooed them when I bought the first 2. I’ve noticed that they are her go to ovenware now. I just gloated and kept quiet.

Good product for price, but missed opportunities
After almost one years use, this is a direct replacement for a Stainless Steel variant, which actually cost more than this Samuel Groves oven tray (however it did come with an internal rack, but I seldom ever used it). My personality is that of a recluse, I'm not a "tickle those tastebuds" kind of chap, so when I first took receipt of the tray from KitchenCraft I immediately didn't like it as it had (unbeknown to myself before purchasing) two flappy handles that would make a clanging racket whenever I picked the tray up. The noise could be mitigated by tilting it, there's always a way, but it was a constant irritation for the entire year of it's life in my kitchen. With that in mind I knew exactly what I didn't want, which always helps when searching for a replacement product. This design clearly has no handles on it (I can absolutely confirm that), and so no noise. Bliss. It's utilitarian design goes all the way as it is fashioned from a single piece of lightweight aluminium, uniform in thickness throughout, proving thus far to be a sturdy design that will not readily buckle in the oven (nb: I have not yet roasted with it and cannot confirm if heating the juices from beneath the base of the tray over a gas hob will cause buckling?). The internal corners follow a gentle gradient, with no 90º trouble areas that make cleaning more difficult that it should be (especially in the corners with three faces), so hand washing is not a problem. While the outer rim along the edge is not folded in on itself (which can often allow dirt to accumulate), the edge is simply turned into a spout. However, these edges are a little rough and could have been better smoothed out in my opinion, they’re but not sharp, not like it will slice into a washing-up glove, but not smooth to the naked digit. The matt finish is a nice, I am not a loud person and that goes for reflective chrome / bling like surface finishes, the satin grain like finish goes in a single direction and looks respectable. Although utilitarian in design, the only embellishment was the logo: "Samuel Groves", which was embossed into the base of the tin, not noticeable from the inside face (which you will be looking at most of the time). Although I understand this, I felt that they could have gone further with it by providing valuable information such as maximum heating temperature (which is a maximum of: 240°C or 475°F - Metric and Imperial is a must), the type of aluminium used, the L x W x H measurements of the tin (helpful when cooking big birds) and email/telephone information for customer services. This would require however added expense to have a machine tooled to be able to do this, but the choice is not mine. However, with the final piece in the description stating that all trays are hand finished, I wonder if the money could be saved by an all mechanised process in order to invest in these upgraded features (no iPhone is hand finished, not even when broken down). The company also boasts that the product is make in the UK, but I wonder where the Aluminium is sourced from, that a missing part of the equation they don’t let you into. I would like to finally draw attention to the present description as of the time of writing (3rd November, 2017) that simply outlines the company’s history, which is interesting, but I feel that this would likely be supplemental to the product’s features itself. If folk were genuinely interested they surely they would go to the company’s homepage (which is presently under construction). More specific details about the product should be listed over PR blurb in my opinion, for me it meant working harder before deciding to make a purchase (this trays come in several other sizes, which is not stated for example). One final niggle was that, unlike the front facing sticker, the back one used that kind of glue that was really difficult to remove (use Bicarbonate of Soda), I don't know why companies do this, it's infinitely annoying. It also had the measurement on, right below the logo, if only they were embossed! Positives: • Uniform aluminium thickness provides a sturdy frame • Lightweight • For use up to 240°C or 475°F • Easy to clean design with no hidden areas for bacteria • Size fits most consumer grade ovens • Matt satin finish pleasing to the eye • Good price if using for more than two years • Made in the UK Drawbacks: • Rim’s edge should be smoother to the touch • No useful embossed information • Source of aluminium not clear • Amazon description weak and company website down • Reverse sticker used was horrible to remove!

Best ever baking/oven tray
Fed up with tins buckling and rusting I ordered this fantastic aluminium one. Nothing has stuck to it, no buckling and a dream to wash up, a little more expensive than some but worth every penny. I shall be buying another one and I highly recommend.

Incredible trays
Like many I used cheap supermarket baking trays for years. I never would’ve thought a high quality tray would make a difference, but these are such a pleasure to use. Easy to clean, look stunning, and they cook everything beautifully - food comes out crispy and doesn’t stick at all.

British made, strong, perfect for my needs
Needing a new baking tray, I was delighted to see a British made tray, exactly fitting my slide under door oven. I was delighted to receive a strong robust tray, nothing flimsy with this. One to suit the cooks here!

Good quality baking sheet
Overall this is a good baking sheet. It’s hard wearing and durable. The edges could be a little smoother and have noticed it scratches quite easily if you need to scour it. The size is good and has decent weight to it.
