My partner loves chess and desperately wanted a board for us to play. I told him only if it's pretty and tidies away nicely. This set is perfect, everything feels really good quality.

Not amazing quality but for around £10 it’s perfect

Good sized and handy. The pieces are stored neatly inside.But this is barely magnetic, the chest pieces don’t stick like the image shown. And the draft checkers don’t have any magnetic parts at all.But it’s ok other than that.

I think my 12 year old grandson will enjoy this chess set, well made, sturdy wooden box and pieces, and compact, the chess pieces store away in a specially designed sponge on the inside of the box, the box which has the board on is hinged and fasteners becoming the carrying case, ideal if he wants to take it to his friends or school, I was surprised thats were he learnt to play.

Ok for the price, bought for Grandson who's just started playing chess. Box / board is good so that pieces dont get lost. Basic no frills box bit cheaply made, but for the price cant complain. Ok for an 8 year olds first chess set.

I have never played chess before but my 12 year old loves chess, as a reward for his hard effort towards school work during lock down I decided to buy him this chess set, he has been teaching me how to play (also beating me) This set is brilliant, it's super lightweight, and will be perfect for taking on holiday with us, it folds in half and even has foam inserts to put the pieces away so they don't rattle around in the box. Highly recommend for traveling or a beginner like myself.

So happy with this chess set was a good price and not to cheaply made. The wood is light and put together well. The pieces are also nicely made. Some wood stain has run but I think it has added that hand made look to it

Amazing product, very nicly made unfortunately what has let this product down was the latch was put on wonky.
