Maybelline TattooStudio Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil, 257 Medium Brown, 0.8 g

Don’t get this one! I usually use the Maybelline Express Brow pencil and that works great but thought I’d try something different. But as I went to use it for the first time the whole top of the pencil snapped off, despite me using it really gently - as it’s a sharpening one it’s now completely unusable 🫠 It seems like the pencil part was just way too soft and that’s why it broke off, cause as I went to try to pick up the tip that had snapped off the whole thing just kinda squished in my fingertips as I grabbed it, and again I really was trying to be gentle. 😂 So yeah, maybe I had a defective one? But still, the Express Brow pencil has never let me down!

Love this stuff! I have super sparse and light eyebrows thanks to shaving them off in the early 2000s. Light, purposeful strokes is the way to go, the pigment clings to every little hair.

In general this is a really good product. Easy to apply, didn’t smudge, natural looking or can be bold. The user has so much control over this eyebrow pencil because it’s quite smooth when applying and the tip is extra slim. My only issue was that the inside of the pencil was broken. I couldn’t tell there was any problem until I needed to turn the head to get more pencil and it wouldn’t budge. I thought maybe I was doing it wrong and even tried putting it in a sharpener thinking that must be how it’s fine 🤦🏻‍♀️. I finally had to pull it apart and it looked like it was missing the piece that made it rotate. I used it until it was gone but it was a bummer. This could have just been one that was made faulty and slipped by completely unnoticed and no one’s fault. I’ll probably only buy this from a store I can easily return to from now on. The one star less is because there was more plastic casing for this product than actual usable pencil. I’ll never understand that. Otherwise normal Amazon purchase.

I got the medium brown on sale. Worked really well, I liked the natural defined look. I can’t stay the effect lasts 36 hours. I thoroughly cleanse my makeup nightly. But it has some staying power, maybe if only water was used it would stay on longer? I wouldn’t know. My biggest complaint is there is barely any product in this. I thought I could twist and get more but NOPE. What you see is all you get. Glad I did not pay full price. Even so, I think it is expensive for a handful of use at most. Won’t be repurchasing. There are other products that work as well even if they don’t claim lasting for 36 hours.

Finally found a long lasting shade that’s not too warm. Go lightly & brush out a bit - it’s better to gradually add, than trying to remove excess.
