Quality is good
We bought this to cover grass seed that birds kept eating. It stayed in place, allowed light and water through. The quality is good, no tearing. The included tool was a nice touch. Was easy to use, easy to keep in place, even with wind and some rain. It provided good protection, and the grass sprouted. We would buy this again.

Sun shield
High elevation desert sun is very cruel to leafy vegetation. Each June as the solstice nears my garden suffers from sun burning on grape leaves, rose leaves, ground covers, etc. despite the amount of water I give each plant every day to get them through until the monsoon rains (New Mexico) arrive in July if we are lucky. In previous years I had to prune a great deal of vegetation back in July and let it resprout so it would look great again through October. This year I am trying this fabric as a sun block - so far so good. Just got through a 104 degree day with hot dry winds and very little damage is observed.

Not the type of fabric I've had before which I was able to wash and reuse but it works exept the wind blows it around even though I have fasteners.

Hooray for year-round gardening!
It may seem a bit spendy when you first compare this fabric to some from other manufacturers, but it's worth every bit! It lasted for three winter growing seasons, including some where we had snow and ice several times, and for extended periods. We are in NC, where overnight temperatures can go as low as 8 or 10 degrees for a few days in a row, but normal nighttime lows are mid to high 20s. All winter long I grow lettuce, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, chard.... My neighbors are always impressed with what I've been able to accomplish in a winter garden with just a PVC hoop house covered with these blankets.

Just what I needed!
This fabric really did the trick! I covered both my lettuce and strawberry beds. I found it keeps my lettuce from wilting in heat. I'm in Northern California, some days get into the 80s or 90s in the summer and my lettuce can't take it. It also keeps leaves from trees from blowing in and causing a mess. I used the metal high rise garden hoops and hold it on with small binder clips. For the strawberries I had existing PVC to hold up the fabric. I tied knots on all 4 ends. I do lift it up on one side each day, since strawberries need to be pollinated by bees. I'm very happy an would buy this again!

Pay a little more to get the good stuff like Argibon
Did not last even three months. Within the first weeks large slits appeared in the fabric by the end of the season it had broken down to shreds and a white powder. Not a durable grow cloth fabric to use on gardens. Pay a little more to get the good stuff like Argibon.

Great product
I tried this for my first year of planting. I built raised beds and used 1' PVC pipe to make hoops. I draped the garden fabric over the hoops and secured to the ground with garden staples. The fabric held up well and kept the raised beds about 5 degrees (F) warmer than outside all through the night. This was a great way to extend the season.I found the cloth to be strong and I expect to get another season or two out of it. I didn't skimp on the garden staples. I imagine if I had only used a few that it would have torn the cloth in a big wind.
