I love my Ruko F11GIM Drone. I dream about flying it. I use it to make little videos to accompany music from my percussion band. I've used it to get excellent close up photos of the chimneys, wood, shingles and paint of my neighbors 3 story house so they could do repairs. And I've used it to examine the health of tall trees for tree work. But mostly I fly it to satisfy my curiosity about the lay of the land. It transformed how I see the world. It was my companion during the pandemic. To see a landscape from above reveals all the patterns in rock and watercourses and the arrangements of trees. I'm not a gamer so using a control box and joysticks was new to me. But it was easy to learn the controls. I highly recommend a thorough reading of the instruction manual. Everything you need is in there. Master the Follow Me, the Points of Interest and the Waypoint Flight. And then put in plenty of flight time until the drone becomes an extension of your body and all the movement becomes second nature like you are dancing in the sky. My challenge now is learning how to shoot video scenes that are smooth, cinematic and tell a story. I've made some mistakes crashing into trees and landing in brush and sand. The drone body was strong and I was lucky. I clogged my rotors with beach sand. Ruko gave me great customer support. It was easy to order and install new rotors and propellers. Now I use a launch pad. There are some limitations; -Some forested environments interfere with reception. But you're not supposed to lose your line of sight anyway. -Of the 3 speed settings, camera mode is slow and steady and I'm careful not to fly far downwind if the battery is low. If you lose connection or the battery gets low, the drone automatically returns and I don't want it to fight with that wind on its way home in low power mode. The drone flies up where some currents move pretty fast. But it has enough heft to stay stable. -Sometimes clouds and weather interfere with good GPS reception. -I'm ready for longer range. -You are reliant your smartphone. Always turn on your location! I like my Google Pixel 6 Pro phone but new OS downloads sometimes bring glitches. Lately, it wants to drop my wifi drone connection in favor a network with internet access and I haven't figured out what to configure in settings to ameliorate that yet. I learned; 1) Read the instructions. Follow the setup sequence. Do the compass calibration regularly. 2) Keep it clean. Use a launch and a landing pad. Keep dirt out of the motors. 3) There's no excuse for collisions. I did some out of recklessness but the drone was remarkably forgiving. 4) Sand out any nicks in the propellers. Better yet, replace them. Pristine, smooth surfaces reduce noise and maximize battery life.

The customer service team had exceptional customer service. I originally gave this drone a 2 star review because the camera did not come with a stabilizer. I need the stabilizer to be able to capture the footage I need for my edited videos. They quickly gave me different recommendations for drones that do have that feature and allowed me to exchange for the one I needed. This drone is perfect for a beginner flyer that doesn’t care too much about the video quality. It’ll get your footage and pictures you want but, they do come out a little shakey. Some people wouldn’t even care about it. The app itself was very easy to use. There was some minor bugs and freezing but nothing that would stop me from continuing to use it. When you select the auto return home button, the drone comes back fantastic and lands soft but, it crashes and freezes the app and requires a restart of controller, app and phone. It didn’t bother me much because I would restart all and fly again. But this only happened when using return home so I ended up bringing drone back manually and landing manually and that fixes it. Also this drone is actually extremely stabile in the wind. I had it out in pretty windy conditions and it did really well. The video quality lacked because of the wind and no stabilization but overall good drones. For the price you really can’t beat it and with their customer service I would buy these again just because of that alone. Thank you Ruko

The drone is great for beginners, but does not capture great video footage because it does not have a camera stabilization feature (gimbal) to reduce shakiness and to smooth out the video. On the other hand, picture quality is great. The reason for three stars is because I only have a 7 min flight time when recording a video. To me, that defeats the purpose. Maybe I received bad batteries, but this has been the case with both. Also, the drone says low voltage even when the battery is at 68%. When low voltage is displayed I can’t film or fly at high altitudes. Because of this, the drone does little for me other than allow me to practice flying a drone. If the battery life was better and the drone allowed me to fly and record up to a 20% battery life, I would’ve given more stars. Update: After only three uses with one of the two provided batteries, it not longer works with the drone. The drone launches and immediately it says “drone low voltage” on the screen, but the battery is showing a large percentage of battery life and the image shows a drained battery. See attached image for reference. Am dropping the rating down to 2 stars. Am hopeful the manufacturer will reach out to resolve this before I contact them. Possible update to come after speaking with customer service. UPDATE: 2 Stars to 5 Stars After initially leaving a review about my experience with the Ruko F11Mini, I was very surprised—pleasantly so—when Ruko's customer service team reached out to me directly. They were professional, apologetic, and genuinely wanted to make things right. They offered me two options: either keep the F11Mini and receive a full refund, or upgrade to the F11Pro2 Drone at no additional cost. This level of proactive service was unexpected and impressive, especially since I still had the option to return the drone for a refund if I wanted. Now let’s talk about the F11Pro2 Drone—and what a difference it makes. 🕹️ Remote Control The remote included with the F11Pro2 is a clear step up from the one that comes with the Mini. It feels solid and comfortable in hand, and I really appreciate the ability to unscrew and store the joysticks neatly in the front of the remote. Unlike the F11Mini's lightweight, all-plastic remote that relies on WiFi and often drops connection when the drone is out of sight, the Pro2 offers a significantly better transmission range and reliability. You connect your phone directly to the remote, which means fewer interruptions in video feed and a much more stable flying experience. GPS connectivity is still present, but the Pro2 doesn't require constant recalibration—a huge time-saver. ✈️ Drone Performance The F11Pro2 is larger and heavier than the Mini, so yes, you'll need to register it with the FAA—but that process is quick (about five minutes) and costs only $5. It's worth it. The drone is powerful, responsive, and sturdy. I even (accidentally) flew it into a bush and it bounced back like nothing happened—very impressive durability so far. 📷 Camera Quality This is where the F11Pro2 truly shines. The built-in 3-axis gimbal stabilizes the camera, and the 6K resolution provides clear, smooth, and professional-quality footage. Compared to the F11Mini, this is a night-and-day improvement. Whether you're taking still photos or capturing video, the quality is outstanding. 🔋 Battery Life Both the F11Mini and Pro2 advertise around 30 minutes of flight time per battery. In my experience, the F11Pro2 lives up to this claim, while the Mini fell a bit short. The batteries are similar in design, though they use different charging ports. Regardless, the Pro2 gives reliable flight time, and I’m very satisfied with the overall performance. ✅ Final Thoughts I couldn’t be happier with the Ruko F11Pro2 Drone. It checks nearly every box I had—great build quality, smooth footage, strong battery life, and intuitive controls. The only feature it's missing is object avoidance, but honestly, that’s something I can live without given how solid everything else is. More importantly, Ruko's customer service went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. That kind of care and attention is rare these days and deserves to be recognized. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced users alike who are looking for a reliable, user-friendly drone that delivers high-quality video and photo results. Keep up the great work, Ruko! (And if you're ever looking for product testers—I'm in!) Note: This review was not part of any promotion or incentive.

First off, let me say, this isn't my first drone, but it is my first drone of this caliber. I looked into a lot of different drones, read the reviews, and did my research. This drone was always on the lists (well this one or its predecessor). I decided to go with this one due to the upgraded camera. Man am I glad I did! The pictures are fantastic! I haven't tried the video yet, but I'm willing to bet it will be just as good! There were a couple of reviews stating the calibration of the drone was difficult. Not true. The instructions are clear and the app has a tutorial that was easy to follow. Only took a couple of minutes and it was ready to fly. The flying was easy, and even in a slight wind, the drone was stable and easy to fly. I have yet to take it off of the beginner mode, but I will once I have some more flight time under my belt. So far, I've helped My insurance adjuster with pictures of my roof, used to the drone to heard some of my animals, and used it to separate my daughter's goat from the sheep (my lasso is holding up one of my shop doors at the moment). Useful and fun! All in all I am very happy with the drone. Flight time is every bit of the 28 minutes per battery that is advertised, and with the extra battery that comes with the drone, I'm getting plenty of flight time! I've got a friend who purchased a much more expensive drone (2x). After seeing mine and what it comes with and is capable of, he's wishing he'd bought a Ruko! Not to mention his wife is a LITTLE upset he paid twice as much! If you're on the fence about this one, don't be. Worth every penny.
