Great product. Two beagles having some allergy issues. Started putting this on their food and cleared up the issues. Even made their fur very soft. The love the addition

Great results three weeks in!
I chose this brand over others because I liked the fact that the only ingredient listed is "Wild Alaskan salmon oil" (other brands listed preservatives and/or fillers) and because of the large 32 oz bottle available. I have two 60+ pound girls (Husky and chocolate Lab) and estimate this bottle will last about 6 weeks. The oil is a clear amber color, and the "fishy" smell is there but is not overpowering. The pump works great, even when the oil gets thicker because of refrigeration, and it only drips one or two drops when I forget to clean the nozzle after use. I bought this as a preventative for any joint issues (both are young, neither has joint issues and I want to keep it that way) and because my Lab girl had a LOT of dandruff on her back and was very itchy/licking her paws constantly. (despite eating healthy grain-free foods, and regular Oatmeal baths). Vet visits would calm things down but after her vet pills ran out, the symptoms would start up again. I started to do some research and came across people who got good results with pure salmon oil and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I started putting the oil in their food twice daily (started out with half the recommended dose for the first two days as a precaution) and both of them loved the flavor! Even my Husky girl, who is VERY selective about what she will eat. Two weeks in, I started to see an improvement on her "itchy levels", less dandruff, and she slept more peacefully. By the third week she barely has any dandruff and the itchiness is almost gone! I am confident that with continued daily use as part of her health regimen, she will be out of the woods soon. As an added bonus, both of them are so shiny and soft, even more so than before! I am convinced that this oil was a big part of her improvement and both girls will be getting this supplement for the rest of their lives.

Poor fellow couldn't even allow himself to step on his ...
We are the owners of 3 dogs. A mixed lab (5 yrs old) not a pure lab, miniature greyhound (12 yrs old) and a shih tzu (8 yrs old). Our youngest baby (mixed lab) started experiencing joint problems (back hind leg). You would think it would have been his older siblings and not him. This happened from one day to next, no warning. Leg stiffness and limping. Poor fellow couldn't even allow himself to step on his injured hind leg. He would go out limping, only using his 2 front paws and the other good back hind leg. It started out as a slight limp and then progressed and got worse to where he wasn't stepping on his injured hind leg, at all. Wimping and skipping around the house throughout the day in pain. My husband & I were very heart broken, worried & deeply saddened. It seemed worse when he was getting on/off his bed and going through the steps in the back patio. He was constantly wimping throughout the day and remained quite sedentary. I'm sure it was due to the inflammation & pain he was experiencing. This lasted for about 3 weeks. It broke our hearts and we were deeply saddened. I am not one to give Rx medicine. All that would do is fill the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies and mask the problem. The actual problem would not be taken care of. We thought it was his dog bed at first & or a sprain due to his excessive bolting out the back door and running after the squirrels outside all the time. He is too young to be experiencing joint problems, he's only 5 yrs old and for pete's sake he is a mixed lab. We hear stories of this happening more likely to a pure breed lab, not a mutt mixed lab. He isn't even overweight. He is at an ideal weight, We had him checked out at the vet for peace of mind. No official sprain or broken bones, thank goodness. The vet diagnosed him with early stages of arthritis. Jesus, if this the early stage of arthritis, I can't even imagine the horrible symptoms once it's fully progressed to full blown arthritis in canines. it After doing my research through Amazon, I came across this one. It stuck out to me the most due to the real ingredients and high reviews. It's been a few weeks now and I can and will honestly say that this has made a world of a difference for the better in his body. We have seen a MAJOR improvement in his skin & coat and mobility. This applies to his older brother & sister too, not that they needed this, but they can definitely benefit from it. All three of our babies take this daily now. The pure alaskan salmon oil and the premium blend bacon flavored glucosamine oil, both Pure Paw brand. I was worried that they wouldn't take it. My dogs are very finicky. If it doesn't smell good, it surely doesn't taste good either - so they will not even lick it, to try it. I was anxious & worried. They actually LOVED IT! My husband and I were so relieved & happy. I didn't have to go through hoops and loops for them to take it. They did it on their own and each licked their bowls dry, expecting to receive more. This happens every time, each day when I give them both this pure alaskan salmon oil and the premium blend bacon flavored glucosamine oil, same brand - Pure Paw. We give it to them by drizzling the recommended dosage on top of their dog food, daily. We noticed the improvement within days. My lab has regained full mobility now. His back hind leg doesn't stiffen up anymore. He can get on/off bed just like before, with no problem. He went back to his favorite thing to do, chasing the squirrels. He goes out the back door, down the steps with no issues. No more wimping, either. I highly recommend this. What do you have to lose? Pure Paw is not paying me anything to write this review. We are not expecting anything in return, either. I don't even right reviews for items we purchase, but this time is an exception though. I'm writing this review for all the moms & dads out there who have beloved canines, to know that there is something out there we can give them and it truly works!! My husband & I are immensely grateful to Pure Paw brand. I'm doing it because I want to share my story and it can help other families and their beloved dogs when the time comes that your dog will need to be on supplements. This product can help prolong their life to be longer & healthier. Seeing is believing. Their skin will greatly improve to not be dry and itchy and their coat will glisten, this will significantly reduce the scratching if any and greatly improve their mobility issues. It's been about three few weeks for us now that we started giving them both of this supplements. Our mixed lab no longer suffers from joint problems - at all (no, we are not kidding), he is as agile as when he was a pup, full of energy. Perhaps because we started them on this early on, when symptoms were just starting to arise with our mixed lab. We give all three of them both this pure alaskan salmon oil & the glucosamine premium blend bacon flavor oil for our peace of mind & their health. Keep in mind - you would have to purchase separately the glucosamine oil. It's made in the USA. Supplements is the way to go, instead of expensive prescribed pain killers with horrible side effects. We are letting all of our friends know that your company's products are great and they deliver what's promised. God bless your company. Pure Paw, thank you for your products!

seems to be working..
I have two small dogs ( a dachshund and a Cairn Terrier ) who have itchy skin. My dachshund licked his paws a lot. I've tried this oil for about a month now and I have seen some good results. Neither dog scratches now, their coats are thicker and looks healthier... there is still some paw licking but not as much. The Cairn Terrier had been chewing places and pulling out patches of fur. That has completely stopped now. Both dogs are feeling better and looking better.... although there a slight problem with the bottle " sweating" and feeling oily, all in all it's a good product and I will stick with it.

I have 2 dogs, one is a lab and healthy. The youngest suffers many skin problems due to food and seasonal allergies. I make frequent trips to the vet during the year. I have been using more natural products lately, the vet is 300.00 a pop and it only takes 3 or 4 visits to feel the crunch. Food allergies are easy to manage, we just avoid her allergens and for my pup, we just no longer purchase potato and flax products for the home. Seasonal allergies are another ball of wax. I had been using medicated shampoos, emu oil, and essential oils to calm and soothe her skin and to prevent secondary yeast and other skin maladies. I hate the regime the vet uses, corticosteroids and antibiotics... the ear and eye drops work from the vet, but the key is preventing flare-ups and I felt that we have only been reacting to her symptoms the last 4 years and the vet is taking advantage of us. I give my dog biotin and a very good probiotic and she is a restricted commercial raw diet based on chicken, you would be surprised how many dog foods use potato and its starches and flax as the omega. I wanted to add good quality fish derived Omega's and always worry about flax so I am glad to say that the results of this oil are very, very good. Now the good part, my dog's scratching has been reduced a lot. Her skin is not nearly as inflamed and so I can see that it is benefiting her, and we just started it about a week ago. I still have to watch her eyes because of her hayfever, but that may improve in time as we continue the product and as the season passes. This has been added to a shopping list and will be purchased again, the pump works great and it's easy to dispense, and both dogs love the taste and I can see in my dog's improvement that it is good quality and that it works.

I initially bought the small 8oz bottle. and my cat loved it! So i reordered the 32oz. but then the larger bottle oil is much darker and orange. and my cat refused to eat his food with the oil. i am sure the bottle is sealed and there is no foul smell so far. so did the manufacturer change the formula? anyone experience this? I find it very strange especially since its the exact same product

I love 'Best Paw' products for my dog! I have brought several of their items, including Glucosamine for Dogs, Salmon & Hemp oil and also probiotics for Dogs & Cats. I am really happy with their products and the ingredients, which are all natural, grain free, organic, human grade and love their environmentally friendly packaging. Each item comes with instructions on how much to feed your dog or cat, depending on size/weight. My dog has been using this product for a couple of years now as I ordered more! It lasts quite a while, but must be stored in the fridge once opened. My dog loves the flavour, always a clean bowl and I also love how shiny and healthy his coat looks, he has more energy and is less stiff in his joints and his eyes look healthy. We often get compliments when we are out walking because of our dog's shiny coat and he hardly sheds fur! (He is 9 years old, Bernese mix) and still very active and mobile!

I have purchased both this Salmon supplement and Glucosamine supplement (in both bacon and original flavour) and I absolutely love the products. I have two dogs, one 12 year old black lab and another 4 year old cocker spaniel. My lab has some hip issues and all three options seem to help her tremendously. Like more so than every other product I've tried (and I've tried many!). All options give her the energy to play and the pain relief to jump and run around again. The Salmon oil, seems to be great for my spaniels skin. He has seasonal allergies, and while so many things do not seem to help his itch, this stuff does. Problem is, the stuff keeps going as unavailable. The supplier's website does not ship to Canada, and when it's consistently out of stock on Amazon it's very discouraging. We tried the original Glucosamine, and within 2 - 3 bottle purchases, it was no longer available. We switched to the bacon flavour, again, 2 - 3 bottles later, it's unavailable. So Then we tried the Salmon, it works as well as the other two, so we went to purchase another bottle, and yet again, no longer available. I see the hemp and salmon seems to still be available, but I'm reluctant to keep trying this brand if I can't get a consistent supply. It works great, and I love seeing my babies happy, but I need to find a product that works and is more readily available when needed.. Watching my Shadowface go from great to in pain after a week of not having this stuff, is not easy. Would love if this brand could figure things out for their Canadian consumers.

My dog is a 12 yr old Mastiff cross rescue, almost 100 lbs. We feed him raw (meat, bone, organ, and fish) and decent, but not exceptional, kibble. His joints became very sore really quickly this year, to the point where I wondered (in about April) if we would have to put him down before the end of the summer. He could only manage a few telephone poles up and down the street, and I had a taken to just driving him around (though he was hesitating getting up into my low backseat). He's been on 30 units of Metacam a day for a couple of months which helped a lot but still he had so little endurance before heavy limping set in. Sometimes he would need to stop and just sit, it was that bad. I've been using this for about a month now, 3 pumps morning and evening - yes, more than they recommend. Just the past couple of weeks, there has been a huge difference in endurance. Yesterday he walked the perimeter of half a soccer field, and then had interest and energy for another 10 min of sniffing at another park. I also notice that he is more awake and alert, more interested in us and his surroundings- as if he is less focussed on age and pain. Because of this big change, I have ordered another bottle (my 8oz bottle is not yet gone after about a month of 4-6 pumps a day) and also a bottle of this brand's glucosamine. We are middle class, but $20/mo or so is pretty damn good for these results. My dog is a picky eater and though he doesn't clamour for it, he will eat it with little hesitation. He had no digestive issues. His excessive dandruff is almost completely gone, but.that usually tones down anyway as we move into summer? Definitely less.hair in the house, but again, this often happens as he gets his summer coat. Fur does feel healthier where.before it had been very dry, dull, and brittle.
