So far, so good, this generator has everything and more! It works great with the GENMAX12V DC Gasoline Electric Fuel Pump. I went the whole weekend without needing to fill up the tank or machine. I just hooked it up, pumped the bulb, and I had nearly endless power with a 6-gallon marine fuel tank. Using a marine tank makes this hot swappable, or it can be filled while the generator is running safely. I use mine primarily for AC and charging my batteries for my off-grid property in Northern Michigan. The remote start is amazing, no need to run outside and pull-start it to make a pot of coffee in the morning. Just push the remote button and I am ready to go! Noise level is to be expected; it's not distracting, but not the quietest generator out there, but it is plenty quiet. You can easily have a conversation standing right next to it while it is on. I keep mine about 50 feet away from my camper and use a quality extension cord. It has more than enough power to run my AC, and I can also run other appliances along with it. It is never a good idea to get only what you need. I prefer to go much above so I have more to spare, and its easier on the generator and will likely extend its usable life. I broke mine in properly and switched to synthetic oil. It starts without issue and from day one. I can pull-start it when the battery is disconnected (simulated a dead battery). The weight is great and to be expected for a 3800 running, 4500 starting generator. Its a bit tricky to lift up/down to my truck tailgate, but once it's on the ground, the telescoping pull lever does its job. It is so much easier than carrying a 50-plus-pound generator 80 feet from where I park. I have no idea about durability as I have not had it long enough to say. I highly recommend this generator. I expect to get years of life out of it! Genmax has some great products at an affordable price. If you are thinking about it, stop and buy it!

It was too many problems associated/ related to I believe with electric circuit board. Sometimes would not start sometimes would just shut down sometimes electric devices plugged into it would stop working sometimes the unit would start surging. The first time it shut down on its own I checked for oil level but found it to be correct but noticed the magnet on the end of the dipstick was missing, apparently somewhere in the crankcase or stuck to a gear or something. Too many emails I had to send back and forth with the manufacturer and distributor finally they agreed to send me a new replacement and then nothing happened for days I sent two more emails and no reply on their part so Amazon finally just refunded my money... I did like that it had a remote control start and stop that I could use inside the cabin of my sailboat. I did not like that it was louder than my Harbor Freight Predator 35 00 inverter generator. I did not like the gas tank, it was about a gallon smaller than my predator 3500 inverter generator and it did not last as long between fillups.

This 3,800-watt (3.8 KW) generator is great for powering your RV with the NEMA TT-30R 120v 30 amp receptacle, and when combined with a 2nd GM4600iAEFIC unit and the tandem power kit, they can be used in either series or parallel to provide either double the voltage or double the wattage. The generator has (1) 30amp 120v outlet and (1) standard 20amp 120v non-GFCI outlet, for standard appliances. I did notice some metal filings on the end of the dipstick before adding any oil (see photo). After I filled the unit with oil (provided), cleaned the magnetic tip of the dipstick, and added gas, I connected the battery (inside the same side panel as the oil fill reservoir) and pressed the on button. The unit started the fuel pump and that ran for a moment and self-primed the electronic fuel injector system, I then pressed the starter, it took a few tries but the generator automatically paused the starter for a moment and then attempted to start again and roared to life. After this initial prime, the unit has started quickly, on the first attempt each time. At no load, I was getting 125.3 volts on my Klein multimeter and 124v as indicated on the onscreen display. Under load, at 3.2KW as indicated on the unit, I was getting 120v on display. I put a total of 25 minutes on the unit in my quick testing. I ran it at 3.2KW just fine for a few minutes and then ran it up to 4KW for about 5 seconds before the overload protection kicked off the power output of the generator, as expected going past the rated running watts. After the quick test, I removed the oil dipstick and checked the magnetic tip for deposits and found more metal filings and cleaned the dipstick with a clean paper towel. Not a critique of the generator, but I would caution anyone using a 30amp (TT-30P) to 20/15amp adaptor to add more standard plugs, because of the risk of overload on any extension cords used - this bypasses any overload protection of a standard outlet. Features: • Fuel injection so the generator does not have a carburetor to gum up. • Eco throttle setting to allow unit to run on a fuel-efficient low-speed idle when the load is low. • 1.6 gallon gas tank. • Clean power output from inverter operation. • Key fob remote start/stop. • Lightweight & portable with telescoping handle and wheels. • Magnet tip dipstick to reduce metal deposits circulating in the oil. Noise level (measured from an iPhone App): Measured at 5' off the floor, directly above the unit, no load: • Eco throttle ON, no load: 72dB • Eco throttle OFF, no load: 75dB • 1.5KW: 82dB • 3.0KW: 89dB Measured at 25', with the exhaust pointing towards me, the loudest side of the generator: • Eco throttle ON, no load: 65dB • Eco throttle OFF, no load: 69dB • 1.5KW load: 73dB • 1.9KW (50% load): 75dB • 3.0KW: 79dB

(Update 1SEP24) I called the USA Genmax support helpline, and they were super helpful in diagnosing the issue and sent me a new EFI system under warranty. It was a little tricky to install, my choice as I could have brought it to a repair shop. It starts and runs, again, and hope to give it a full test. To genmax credit they have offered a full refund. (First Post) When the generator works, it's almost perfect. Our lasted for 15 hours of run time, and quit on us mid way through a camping trip when we needed it the most. When it did run, it was awesome, light weight, quiet enough, the remote start is a game changer, and the generator ran our rv with no issues including a 3500btu A/C with a soft start installed. The retractable handle is very useful, but the wheels could be a little bigger. The exhaust port is low. And if you run it on grass, the exhaust cooks a 1 foot by 2 foot area. In dry areas it could pose an issue. The generator stopped while running and won't restart and stay running. It runs for a second and shuts off, if the warranty process is easy and I get it repaired and it proves itself reliable I'll provide an update to this review. (Update 1) Genmax is going to send me replacement parts. That was a month ago, still waiting on parts.

I was looking for a dual fuel generator. In researching this generator, it was vague in it's initial product description whether it was gas or dual fuel but after scrolling through the product photos, I saw, very clearly, "included in box" and LPG connector. I thought "this is what I want!" and bought it. I liked everything it said. I was concerned tho that it said it was not returnable but after further research it seems all generators are non returnable so I wanted to be sure I was getting what I wanted. Once the delivery was made, I opened the box to discover there was no propane connector hose, I looked on the generator and there is no propane port. I was screwed. I am now saddled with a generator that I wouldn't have bought if the advertisement in the description was correct. I needed this generator for the severe cold snap coming thru Texas as I didn't want to be without power should we go dark like we did three years ago. I'm truly disappointed because I really did my homework on this purchase and I trusted and allowed a photo in the product description to be my deciding factor.
