I first purchased the 2‑pack of this soap back in October 2025 and have been thrilled with the results. With consistent use, my skin looks brighter, smoother, and more even‑toned, and a few of my mild dark spots appear noticeably lighter. The scent is very light and pleasant, and I’ve had zero irritation using it daily. The bar itself is solid and compact, and it doesn’t melt away quickly the way some specialty soaps do. That alone makes it a great value. This time I upgraded to the 5‑pack so I can keep one in the shower and another at the sink. For the price and performance, it’s hard to beat.

Here is what genAI gods had to say about this product after I started to experience skin flaking over one of the eyes Using VALITIC Kojic Acid Dark Spot Remover Soap Bars with Vitamin C & Retinol daily on your face can be irritating, especially around the delicate eye area — and the flaky skin you’re seeing on your eyelids is a common sign of irritation or a compromised skin barrier. Here’s what to know: 🧴 Why the Eyelid Area Is Extra Sensitive • The skin around your eyes — including eyelids — is much thinner and more delicate than the rest of your face. • Ingredients like kojic acid, retinol, and vitamin C can be too harsh for this area, especially when used in a soap that’s meant to be rinsed off but still contains active acids and exfoliants. ⚠️ Potential Irritants in This Soap Even though the formulation is marketed for face use, it includes actives that can be sensitizing: • Kojic acid — can cause dryness, irritation, and flaking, particularly with frequent use or on sensitive skin. • Retinol — typically not recommended for the eyelid area unless in very low-strength, eye-specific products. Using retinol near the eyes can disrupt the fragile skin barrier and contribute to dryness, redness, or sensitivity. • Vitamin C — can be irritating in high concentrations or when mixed with other actives without moisturizer afterward. 🧼 So Is It Safe Around the Eyes? • Not ideal. Even if the product label says “face,” the eyelid skin is more prone to sensitivity and irritation from actives like kojic acid and retinol. • Soaps with strong actives are usually designed to cleanse and brighten, not to be used right up against the eye area. • If you’re seeing flaky skin on your eyelids, that’s a strong sign that your skin is reacting — and you should stop applying the soap around the eyes. ✔️ What You Can Do Instead 1. Stop using the soap on your eyelids for now. 2. Wash your face with a gentler, fragrance-free cleanser near the eye area. 3. Apply a rich, eye-safe moisturizer or eye cream to help repair your skin barrier. 4. If you want to treat dark spots near the eyes, consider switching to products formulated for the eye area (e.g., gentle vitamin C/niacinamide serums or eye creams), not soaps. 5. Avoid harsh actives around the eyes until the irritation fully resolves.

My son first used this on his trip to Japan. He bought this specifically because of how much he liked it there. He likes the smell of it. He says it feels nice. His words: "I love it!"

I’ve been using the VALITIC Kojic Acid Dark Spot Remover Soap Bar for a few weeks, and I’m really impressed with how good it feels on my skin. The bar creates a nice, gentle lather and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight after washing. It actually feels clean, soft, and refreshed.I like that it combines kojic acid with vitamin C, retinol, collagen, and turmeric it feels like a well rounded formula rather than something harsh. Over time, I’ve noticed my skin tone looks more even, and some dark spots have started to fade slightly. It’s gentle enough for regular use and has a mild, pleasant scent.Overall, this soap feels soothing and nourishing on the skin while still being effective. A great option if you want something that cleans well and supports brighter, healthier looking skin.
