im a guy, but I'll try to help. I happened to be wearing it, so I took it off and measured the sleeve. It was 23" from the top of the arm to the bottom of the wrist after washing. Your choice might be depend on the length of your arms. This one is a slim-fit size so the armpits are cut higher and the waist is narrower. If you want it looser, you might want to look at the regular fit also. In general, I think that a woman's large is about the same as a man's medium and so on. So based on your normal size, I think you might want to try the next size smaller in a man's t-shirt. If you want it looser, try the regular fit, otherwise my preference is for the slim-fit because I have a narrow waist .

The collar stays flat. These are a thicker cotton and very nice. I own 5 of them in various colors. Great value for $15 - $18 bucks. Truly!

Q: How large is the pocket? Asking to iron something on

Measured from a size small shirt - the pocket is 3 3/4 wide by 3 1/2 tall. The pocket has a point at the bottom which is 3 3/4 from top to point. I hope this makes sense and is helpful.
