Yes, It does very well on hard surfaces. My Granddaughter loves hers. I am getting one for my grandson next.

Do the pedals adjust? I’m worried my daughter won’t reach the pedals but she will grow out of the small size soon. She is 55lbs and approx 50” tall

Will this ride on carpet?

Not sure…but I doubt it would roll over carpeting, the carpet thickness & pad cushioning would be too soft. Kids should also be supervised while riding.

Do the hooves scratch hard wood floors?

No they do not at all. Our house is entirely hard wood and we have had them for 3 years and no floor damage. Girls love them, we only ride them in the house.
