Despite the lack of sapphire. I personally think this watch is the best Seiko 5 at this price point. I wouldnt trade this watch for a Rolex. That's how much I like the look and feel of it after a couple months of use. The bracelet isn't amazing, but its far from being bad. It is hollow end linked, but I don't have any problem with that since it does not effect functionality at all. Accuracy is a couple seconds off a week at most. Most weeks I don't even notice any deviation. My model had a slight squeak, but nothing a little lube couldn't fix.

Very happy with this watch. I like the smaller 36mm size, as it has a more low-profile look and fits easily under a sleeve. The face is easy to read and very stylishly photogenic as you can see. The lume is bright, though I wish it had been applied to the digits as well. The metallic look of the digits is kind of cool looking though, so I won't complain too much about the lack of lume. So far it has kept accurate time, the 4r36 movement is know to be reliable, so I'm not really too worried about losing/gaining seconds on the watch here and there. Although, I would not feel comfortable submerging the watch under water, the 100m water resistance rating means it should be able to handle it if you ever do drop it water. The bracelet is a typical cheap seiko bracelet, but very comfortable to wear; no pulling hairs or anything like that. If you do want to change the bracelet, it will be easy as the case has drilled lugs. Overall a very nice watch for the price. This is my new every day wear!

I bought this because I wanted an automatic (self winding) mechanical watch that fit my thin, girly wrist. It looks great, keeps good time and didn't cost a lot. What's not to like?
