P&S Detailing Products N26 - Brake Buster Acid Free Total Wheel Cleaner

P&S has a solid lineup of detailing products at reasonable prices, and the Brake Buster Wheel Cleaner is another great option — with a caveat. It does an excellent job breaking down brake dust, dirt, and light corrosion, and for the amount you get, it’s a great value. However, in Arizona heat, it can dry far too quickly. I’ve had it flash-dry before I could rinse, which left marks on my rims and even some on the surrounding paint. Most of the time these come off easily with a quick reapplication and scrub, but it’s something to be mindful of. Using it with a foaming gun helps keep it wet longer, but that also dilutes the formula and reduces effectiveness. Overall, this is a wheel cleaner I’d still recommend, especially if you’re not working in extreme heat. Just make sure to work quickly, avoid direct sunlight, and rinse thoroughly to get the best results.

This stuff is great. first of all, not having two chemicals for wheels and tires is terrific. Secondly... the suds.... this stuff suds up so well that even if it wasn't cleaning my wheels wonderfully I wouldn't care because it sure as heck would look like it's working! But seriously, it gets the wheels clean without having to scrub too hard, and it cleans the tires without completely stripping the Perl I have on there. It gives you that great jet black (but dry) tire look without the cheesy shine that insecure men and boys who live with mommy like on their tires. If you're a car slob and only throw suds on your ride two or three times a year this isn't going to be a miracle product, and you'll have to scrub a lot. But if you maintain your car regularly this will make wheel/tire cleaning a breeze. Smells good, too. That's how you know it's working!
