Well engineered auto-vent that works very well!

The Flamco Flexvent Top is a well engineered 1/2" auto vent that is designed to live at the "top" of a heating system. It is a step-up in engineering from a 'bottle' auto vent and has roughly double the air venting capacity. In use, it vented my heating system of air in a few minutes. The previous 'bottle' vent took about an hour to do the same. The venting can be positively turned off with tapered valve once it has done its job; offering further reassurance that it won't leak water above your ceiling. It is designed to be more durable and can be dismantled for cleaning.The description Amazon provides is a bit confused as it conflates details from the 3/8" version; hence four stars. This is NOT the 3/8" white version with fitting sleeve and built in stop valve. You get the1/2" brass version that requires a male adapter sleeve to fit but it comes at a very good price from Amazon.
