Brook + Bay Slouchy Beanie, Women's Winter Hats, Oversized Knitted Hats for Cold Weather

Trust me, I have a large head. I am a female but have definitely the largest head of any of my friends (luckily there's some sizeable brain in there too). Not sure that's something to brag about... But fact is I always had trouble finding a hat that fits me. Beanies, which are usually "one size fits all", are way too tight for my melon head. I always wore headband covering the ears, while the top of my head was left uncovered. This is, until it dawned on me that "slouch hats" are a thing. Oh my....!!! So this is my first hat ever, as an adult (and I am middle aged), that fits comfortably. It is not too tight, is warm and there's still some slouch left in the back to not look awkward. Also, I do somewhat style my hair and beanies would usually smush up any of my hairdos in an instant. Wearing and then removing this hat, though, I found my artificial locks still intact as the hat doesn't press too much on the hair. If you wear a ponytail, it easily hides in the slouch (can't wear a ponytail with a beanie). CONS: my order was fulfilled by Amazon but came in a large package in which you could have packed at least 20, or more, hats. Seems a waste of resources and material to me. This could have been packed into a 8x10 envelope and not a big carton box. So, dear Amazon, let me go to my recycling facility now with your packaging while I wear this nice hat.

I LOVE this hat! It's so soft and cozy and keeps my ears and head very warm! Perfect winter accessory. I wish the cold temps would stay around a few more months so that I can keep wearing it, since it has become a staple to me just like Linus and his blanket (A Peanuts reference there)! I love the way it looks as well. The "slouchiness" gives it a cool factor. I love wearing it with a my cable-knit sweaters and my puff vest and have receieved a few compliments. Some folks even thought it was an UGG hat! Everything I expected and more at a great price! I definitely recommend buying this item.

I have to say... I am usually really busy and don't usually have time to write a review -- even when a product is good. I have been looking for a stylish, quality, warm winter hat (and a bad hair day hat) for my very big head. We joke in my family about our big (beautiful) heads. I was really impressed and very excited when I received the black hat for my daughter (it was an add-on for her other birthday gifts).. She loves the hat (wearing it every day) and intends to buy other colors. I loved the hat so much that I bought myself a black one and a yellow one. I love these hats! They are thick, warm and you can feel and see the quality -- well made/woven. It's snowing in my area now and I am warm and content and feel very stylish in my new hat. Goes well with all my jackets and boots.. even my tennis shoes! I would suggest they offer more colors. Finally found a quality hat source for my big head..

Not too hot for cold. Okay speaking to women who get hot and cold all in a matter of a few minutes. Fit has loose-ness and not too tight to make head hurt. Color: as pictured (gray/black) Durability: so far no issues. Been wearing quite a bit with 13 degree weather. My hair is shoulder length but put up (not hanging) but still room. Head size - medium/ Face comparison- small If head is larger and “big hair” - fit is going to sit lije typical non-loose (IMO). Consider that in deciding. Most beanies will probably be same unless a non-“one size fit all”. Well take that back. I have several and inside lining and outer fabric affects how it will sit on head. Again, for this hat the larger thread and rollover cuff gives room to maneuver it to head and hairstyle of the day. Have brand beanies and NM real pompom beanies as well. Price comparison: great buy for the cost and quality.

The hat looks just like the model photo, style and color. It is really cute. It fits comfortably snug on my head, sure to be warm over the ears. It is thick without being bulky. Just all around a very nice hat. For those worried about the negative reviews, I must say that my hat is well-sewn, nicely knitted, and a high quality product.

Comfortable bought it for work since I work in a cooler, keeps my head warm, and color matches picture.

I got two of these, this one (pink) and the 'navy' blue one. Tried on immediately and fit great, look awesome and better than expected. Perfect for women with small heads, such as I have. I usually wear a small or XS hat. I would love this in a cotton knit, in addition to this acrylic one, for summer. RECOMMEND

Liked the colour, material is soft not itchy, design is classic. Shape is great without being too loose or too tight.

Arrived quickly, colour and pattern looks really nice. I do agree with other reviews that the item is not as slouchy as shown on the model and I also do not have a large head :) Still, does look nice on.
