Smart, effective, travel friendly with multiple features
The media could not be loaded. These Timekettle M3 translator earbuds come in an impressive charging case which split open into two. The box is of a decent compact size, light and holds the earbuds securely, also the box can be operated with one hand. The sound and mic quality is great, they fit comfortably in my ear, donāt stick out very far, and donāt slip out of the ear even during running. The mic quality is really good and on testing multiple times its quality is as good as using my phone mic.The main feature is the instant translation into multiple languages. I found the translation to be of a satisfactory level however there were instances where you have to try it a couple of times. It all comes to getting used to the device. Just need to download the Timekettle app which is very simple to operate and it gives the option to translation in both speech and written form. It also gives the option to translate using the mobile speaker on the earbud itself. So far the experience is good however Iām still getting a hang on using it more effectively to minimise error.Overall a multipack device with both good quality headphones and a decent translation facility

Translation buds
The media could not be loaded. This is such an innovative device, no more struggling on holidays as I am frequent flyer. First of all you need to charge fully which approximately takes 75mins. At first I struggled to pair my buds as there was no light at all. So I had to troubleshoot and reread instructions to properly understand. I think I was just in haste and impatient at first use. The problem was resolved easily, if not you can email company for assistance, there are various contact methods and support offered. You need to ensure you pair to your phone- choose Time Kettle. Once paired your all set to go and also need to connect to the downloaded app. Different modes to translate either by sharing buds or speaking into the phone. For hygiene purposes I would not share my buds. You can also sit near someone and put phone close and it will translate I prefer this option. You also choose your primary language and speak and it translates. The buds also allows you to listen to music and answer calls by touching green light. One thing I did notice, it appears to loose charge quickly when not in use. I left for a day fully charged with using and it went down by 30%. The app shows battery life for the left and right ears. The app also has an AI English teacher for those who want to learn English. It would be good if it had an AI for another language. This is a really good device which helps reduce language barriers but you do need WiFi.It comes with 30 fish credits devised into 5's which allows you to buy offline language packages to your phone. If you download you need phone memory, there are 13 offline languages but credits for 6 so you would need to purchase additional credits if necessary. Overall this a high quality product, the accuracy on translation is on point and I would definitely recommend.

This product sounded like a gamechanger... but not sure it's there yet...
This product comes with some big promises - for me the offline language translation was a big thing. However, after getting the product (£169.99 at the time of review) some things become clearer...* You will only get some credits (30 "fish" - presumably this is a nod to Douglas Adams?) - worth about £50, to spend on language packs to use offline. You don't get all the languages from the get-go* The actual practicality of loaning the third party one of your earbuds is horribly unhygienic - especially if you plan to use the buds for stereo music listening!* The translations (tested in "online" mode) are OK - but for me were only useful (tested in Germany) when the speaker talks slowly and clearlyNow, for comparison, I have already been a big fan of the Google Pixel Phone and the free translations (offline/ near real-time) and how they are progressing, and I did hope that the M3 buds would offer some improvements. The main thing to note is the UI on the Timekettle stuff is better suited for a 2-way conversation than the Pixel phone, but... Google does do a great job of showing the 2-way conversation too.In limited tests, the Pixel Phone did a pretty admirable job of translation. It is not totally real-time (neither system TRULY is real time) as there are pauses/ adjustments whilst the AI handles context in sentences/ paragraphs, but both systems do a very good job.The quality of the Timekettle is lovely - almost premium - but for the price tag, you'd expect this. The sound quality for music is good, and the ANC is passable (tested on a rather noisy plane flight). However, for me, I will be probably resorting back to my Pixel phone. Why? Well, it just works. And it's free. The M3 is a great product, but after real-world use some of it is just short-term gimmick. And for spontaneity the Pixel phone does a much better job in my opinion.I will use the M3s for sure - they were not bad at all whilst watching German TV in speaker mode...! But for business/ leisure use, I'm not quite sure there's enough there to merit me moving away from the phone.Thumbs up for quality, presentation, idea - but in terms of genuinely finding a better solution to the problems this product aims to solve, it's got some way to go.

Fantastic for any occasion
The media could not be loaded. The first thing I liked was that it fits very well in the ear and doesn't stick out. I've used other earphones and they always kept falling and disturbing me.Now let's talk about the quality of the earphones: This product is resistant, light, battery life, compact and comfortable. Ideal to use for hours without worrying. It's so comfortable that sometimes it doesn't even feel like you're wearing earphones.About translation: Ideal for any situation where you think it is necessary to have a translator, such as: travel, questions about direction and others. I used it a lot at a conference I had. English is not my first language and it has terms that I am not yet familiar with, so this product helps me a lot to understand the context of the subject in detail.Overall, it's a great product, a little out of your budget, but well worth it and I recommend it.
