Awesome Smoker!
The media could not be loaded. I have four smokers, Pit Boss Rancher XL, 2 Char-Broil Electric Smokers, and a stick burner. I have the Pit Boss and one of the electrics at my girl friends house and found myself missing my stick burner so I bought the Char-Griller to keep at her house. I had no idea what to expect with this smoker but since the cost was minimal decided why not.The first thing I tried was chicken thighs because they are inexpensive and fairly easy to smoke. The Char-Griller held temp fairly steady at 225-240 for the two hours it took to do the thighs. They turned out fantastic and my girl friend said they were the best she ever tasted. I had to agree with her!Next up was an 8 pound pork butt and it turned out awesome too. This smoker held temp once again for almost 5 hours at 225 until I added more charcoal and it went another 4 hours at 225. When I removed the pork butt it was fall off of the bone done and was excellent.I’m not sure why there are negative reviews for this grill but if you are on the fence about buying it, just do it! You will be very happy you did😁!

This is a Smoker, not a grill
I have always been a Weber 22' kettle owner, and I always had problems cooking low and slow for hours because the charcoal was to close to the grate. On this kettle the charcoal is lower and allows to cook between 275 F to 300 F for hours with only one chimney full of charcoal. I slow cooked a rack of baby back ribs for 31/2 hours and they came out great. If you want to convert it into a grill, place some bricks on the bottom of the kettle to raise up the charcoal grate closer to the food grate and you will get the grill marks you are looking for and that fast cook. My next cook will be a brisket for 10 hours, I can't wait.

Careful of the lid!
Grill was easy to assemble and cooks well! My only real complaint is that there is no safety mechanism on the lid. I did note in the instructions a safety warning about watching your fingers when the lid was up, so this is partially on me, but... When I was finished assembling the thing I went to put the utensil hooks on. I wasn't thinking and turned the grill and the lid slammed down on my fingers, leaving a very deep gash and me questioning whether I had broken my finger as I could barely move it for several days. Like I said, it works just fine, but I'd be very cautious having this out when not in use. If it were to slam down on a child's finger like it did mine it would undoubtedly break it, if not partially amputate it. Company needs to install some type of safety mechanism. I'm only taking off one star for that, like I said, it was largely my fault - just wanted others to be aware.

Great grill
Easy to assemble - very well made and designed - like Weber on steroids, though it’s a little deep and a bit difficult to maintain a low temp for slow cooking - day to not go over 400°, but thermostat goes to 500 - it zooms to high temp and is great for pizzas!

Good less expensive egg type grill!
I wasn’t sure I would like the coal grate so low from the cooking grill, but with the air flow vents it worked incredibly well. Very happy with this grill. I live in the woods and former natural gas grills typically got small animal nests over time. This grill will prevent all but small insects from intrusion.

Not very impressed
I’m not sure what the handle is made out of but very cheap. Arrived broken

Great grill
I bought this for my husband for Father's day and he loves it! Assembly wasn't bad. It's not too big and not too small. Perfect for our family of 4.

Great cooking grill
I love to smoke meat and owned an akorn before then switched to a smoker with a fire box and these medium sized grills out do all the rest
