Can this be used in an aquarium?

I am using it for my gecko terrarium, but I don't see why it couldn't go in an aquarium; the material it's made of doesn't appear to be porous.

Is it okay to use in a freshwater aquarium?

Yes you can use it in a fresh water aquarium. The outcrop is made with safe poly-resin, so, you don't need to worry about toxins.This is great for the fish who like to stay hidden and safe. I use this for my Leopard Gecko. This is great for snakes and scorpions also.

I can't tell based on the dimensions if it's big enough on the inside to work as a hide for my desert iguana (12" and still growing). Anyone?

It is not large enough to function as a hide for your desert iguana.

Would a bearded dragon be able to climb on it?

I'm not sure the size of a dragon. I put this in a 5gal aquarium and it took up just shy of 1/3 of it. Hope this helps.
