Works good and difficult to tell that you can stash stuff in it

Very nice, especially when you can drink a beverage from the top half. No one could ever tell what's stashed below.

Travelers know it's a good idea to never carry all your valuables in one place. To that end, I've got a couple different diversion safes that I use for storing jewelry, cash, and other items when I'm on the road. What makes this one stand out is its completely innocuous appearance; there's never going to be a situation where this is out of place. I got this one for driving; stick it in your cupholder and who knows what sort of treasure you've got hidden in plain sight! Five stars for concept! The execution, however, leaves a bit to be desired. It's still plenty hefty, but it's not nearly as heavy as my stainless water bottle (size differences taken into account). The top lid is lined with plastic and feels cheap/rough. The storage compartment is roomy, but the metal bottom is flimsy. Mine also has some very sharp metal shavings still attached along the bottom edge (like when your can opener doesn't make a clean cut) that'll have to be fixed. There's also a little bit of superficial rust and dirty looking residue inside the bottom storage area. I'm not really sure how well it's going to hold up to the rigors of travel, but fingers crossed. In the spirit of science, I handed this to a friend of mine and she didn't notice anything unusual about it. While she was holding it, I noticed the bottom threading is clearly visible. It doesn't automatically make you think diversion safe, but it looks a little wonky. In a perfect world, this would have been made with sturdier metal, the quality control standards would be a little higher, and the bottom threading would be obscured. Hope this helps.

Perfect for hiding money, cards, etc. And it's a real water bottle?? Not a very big one, but it does hold water which is great. It's sturdy which is great because it's not balanced very well and will fall over if you breath on it too hard. Just make sure whatever you pack inside the compartment doesn't rattle too badly because it does make noise if you shake it. Overall, one of my better Amazon purchases.

I have a star wars bottle that I bought from Target that looks just like this bottle (only difference is that darth vader is on it) and if I put both of them together, no one could even tell that there is a hidden compartment in this one. I can fit a large amount of dollar bills if I fold them or I'm sure a necklace/watch would fit, but other than that, it is pretty small. But definitely worth it if you have a bunch of cups/bottles around cause it disguises itself really well, and you can add liquid to the inside. No one will even notice! Best diversion cup ever!

Had to ask multiple people for help opening the bottom. It finally opened in the end but kinda defeats the purpose if I had to get someome stronger then me to open it since they now know it's not a real water bottle.

I believe it’s steel not aluminum. Leak proof. Some asked if you can hide a credit card? Yes, I had to put it at an angle and push the lid on. So I’m guessing the card got slightly bent. Exterior is fingerprint proof. As with any new steel container, there’ll be some black residue, wash and wipe clean before use. Personally I would’ve like it 1” shorter in length so it doesn’t stick out so obvious in cup holder or backpack. In its current size it looks manly. 👍

Vollkommen ausreichend für Strandbesuche etc. + alle drei Flaschen in Ordnung + innerhalb von 36 h in Deutschland Express-ausgeliefert + Vielleicht noch eine alte Geldbörse mit etwas Kleingeld und einem alten Schlüssel, der zu keiner Tür mehr passt, in der Hosentasche über die Strandkorbseite hängen und tippen, dass ein Dieb, wenn er die Börse gefunden hat, bestimmt nicht mehr weitersuchen wird. MINUS - etwas teuer. -/+ wirkt, als ob es bald Dellen geben wird. Das wäre aber wieder authentisch - Wasserdichtigkeit noch nicht geprüft. Wirkt aber, als ob die Flasche besser aufrecht transportiert werden sollte.
