Good value for money
I bought two cameras from ieGeek so far (indoor battery camera and a doorbell camera). Before I purchased them though I did read through a lot of reviews on other brands as well and took my time before making any decisions. I must admit it took me a while. I had an eye on ieGeek doorbell for a year but because I couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted I dropped the idea initially. Then a neighbour of ours showed me how their cameras work and a friend, I was going on holiday with, mentioned about getting an indoor camera for peace of mind whilst we are away and my interest sparked again. So I started reading through reviews again. One of them advised that if you are planning to install more than one camera it’s best to buy them from the same brand so you don’t have to instal different apps for each camera on your phone, but rather have all of them in one app. That was helpful because I knew I wanted an indoor camera and a doorbell. Hence, I had a look which brands offer both with possibility to add another outdoor camera if I needed it in future. I also wanted the cameras to save videos on SD card rather than paying a subscription for a cloud storage. So I looked up ieGeek doorbell again (I still had it in my wish list from a year ago) and noticed that ieGeek do other types of camera as well. Indoor battery camera is pretty small and handy (smaller and smarter looking than other brands I looked up) and that pretty much sealed my choice. I paid around £100 for both and I’m happy with my purchase. Price was good (I didn’t want to buy the cheapest camera on the market but also not an expensive one either). Both cameras do what it says on the tin. Both connected to network ok (I didn’t have any problems like some people reported for other brands). I’ve had both cameras for about a month now. Battery still holds on both since the initial charge. Picture quality is as expected. I’m planning to buy another outdoor solar operated camera as my car got scratched by presumably a delivery van whilst I was on holiday. Unfortunately, the doorbell wouldn’t have caught the incident as a bush obscures the view from the side where the van parked. Hence the need for another camera somewhere on the building where the bush isn’t in a way. This might be a common sense but if I was to give advice to someone buying a security camera for the first time I would say think about what you want the camera/cameras for (what you want them to show/record and maybe what you don’t want them to show/record) and where you want to place them. Depending on that look for the right specifications for you (like battery/cable/solar operated etc.), read through reviews and talk to someone who already has some cameras installed especially if your budget is tight but also to avoid disappointment if your expectations are higher than what the cameras can achieve in your circumstances. I had zero experience with security cameras before my purchase. I didn’t know what to expect. I’m glad I asked around and did some reading before making a decision which brand to buy from. I’m happy with what ieGeek offers. Their products are good quality and value for money.

Great camera for the low price
This is a great Camera and so easy to set up. This is the second ieGeek solar camera that we have bought and this is the newer model to the previous black model which my mum now has and loves. This newer model has a sharper picture and more of a wider viewing angle which is great for the security of my car outside my gate. Also the sensitivity of the motion detection can now be altered easily from 1-10 (1 being low sensitivity 10 being very high) as you can see in my picture. I like to have ours on 5 as we do not want to pick up people walking along the street outside our parking area. The night vision is excellent, we do not have any street lights in our carpark so it is very dark at night and one of the reasons for me purchasing a security camera but as you can see it’s crystal clear. You can also have 2 picture quality settings SD and HD. You can see the difference in my night vision video. When looking for a camera we did not want it hard wired into the house because of cost and the mess it would cause and never believed a solar camera could work so well it’s totally surprised us. Even on cloudy days I have never seen the battery level go below full I just hope this continues through the winter months. The camera is connected to the WiFi easily and then you can control and monitor the camera through any smart device and we have ours on our phones. It can also be connected to more then one device. The camera is around 20 ft from the house where our WiFi router is and as you can see from the photo it’s showing as 90% signal which is excellent. Remember the further away from the house the weaker the WiFi connection will get. Overall very satisfied with this camera and how quickly it arrived from IeGeek.

Quality images.
Easy to install & set up with SD card. I have this on an upper windowsill outside the front of my house. The night vision is excellent quality. You can rotate the camera from the phone App. I have found that it doesn’t always record everything, occasionally it will miss me leaving the house altogether. The standard setting for video recording length is six seconds, which isn’t long enough, so I changed this to Auto so that it records all movement whilst it is happening. I get about 10-12 recordings a day. I don’t have the notifications setting on. And I have found with this, on a full charge i am only getting 6 or 7 days until I have to recharge. Which is disappointing. This may be that it has been very very cold and this has affected the battery. All in all, a good quality camera.

Excellent camera
The camera is excellent and far exceeded my expectations for the price. It is easy to set-up and install and the quality of the images are excellent. The features are also pretty impressive, with an easy-to-navigate appt that lets you rotate the camera, manage alerts, send a warning siren, turn on the security light and capture images & videos. I have previously bought more expensive, market-leading cameras (no names) but the ieGeek camera is far better and a lot cheaper. I will be buying more. P.S. I had a minor issue with a battery and the customer services department is excellent too. They responded quickly to my emails and the problem was dealt with in no time.

Excellent product and value for money
Great camera. Good quality and value for money. Very easy set up and used. Connects well with the WiFi and alerts me of any movement on my property giving me peace of mind. The ieGeek team are extremely helpful and clearly value there customers. I own 3 different ieGeek cameras and couldn’t recommend them enough.

UPDATE, not a good camera anymore after a few months.
(Aug 2025) Its very useful - it does take a while to get it going trying to figure it out. Once sorted, it's fabulous thing to use. The camera is clear )sometime a little glitchy which only lasts a few seconds) night vision is good. Motion detection is a tad annoying, but you can adjust the sensitivity of it, the notification is a bit much when you have 2 doing off for same video (Tip and Alert.. They need to give us option to remove TIP in the setting, why need that when you'd get Alert anyways?). Still a nice cheap camera for me. UPDATE (Nov 2025) Now the camera's motion detection isnt working well as it should, it doesnt pick up a lot - I've missed so many events. I've checked Cloud and History section - nothing, I even adjust sensitivety of it, it made no difference. So no, the camera motion dection is rubbish now. I'll be looking for a better one in very near future. 4 stars now down to 1.

Outstanding for the Price
We have several iegeek cameras of differing types and continue to buy them and add them to our home security setup. The app is easy to use and even easier to to add new devices to with easy to follow steps. Camera sensitivity, coverage area, image quality, recording settings etc are easily adjusted in the app and the changes instantly applied to the selected device. I particularly like house you can set up different pages / locations and assign to them, very useful if you have multiple properties. Of note is their outstanding customer service, one of the cameras had intermittent charging issues then failed to charge via the solar panel at all. After completing some diagnostics steps provided by the customer service team, it was concluded that the charge controller had failed. Their customer service team arranged for a replacement to be sent out even though the original camera was 21 months old. All in all very impressed and I will continue to buy security cameras from iegeek.

Compact camera that packs a big punch
So I purchased this camera as I had previously purchased the ie Geek exterior battery camera a year ago which is still going strong and covers the part of my garden that I can't get an electric source too. I was always impressed by it's picture quality and I needed a camera that was quick and easy to install. Firstly I want to mention how small and discreet this indoor camera is. It's only around 10cm x 6cm in size! Perfect for placement almost anywhere without being so obvious. It feels well made and sturdy and along with the base once situated it can be easily adjusted in any direction. Inside the box you get everything you need (including 2 sticky pads to mount the camera which was handy in my case as I decided to move it after sticking 1 pad to it!) You get a screw fixing, charging cable, warranty card and a manual as well as the camera and the base which is already put together for you. The camera already had almost a full charge so no need to charge up straight away. I already had the app as I already own an ie Geek camera, but just like the first this is so easy to add. Open the app, find the + sign and press it. Find your camera from the list, click it and it will ask some broadband connection questions, then simply hold the camera infront of your screen, wait for a beep and you are done. Took me about 1 minute and I was ready to go! The picture quality of this camera is just as impressive as my previous ieGeek. Clear pictures in day and night mode. The speaker is clear when talking through the app too with the added bonus of an alarm feature. I slipped in a 64gb micro SD card allowing me to capture and keep any footage from the motion sensor and view later if I need to. There is a Cloud service available with a 7 day free trial but I used that on my last camera. The app is easy to use and connects well, you can share the camera with your household and view it on any device. Lots of settings to play with as well. The only thing I think it is missing is the ability to record constantly but the motion detection is quick and picks up all movements so it's not a big problem. All together a really good camera that is real value for money and most importantly very good picture quality that is as good as other leading brands if not slightly better. This won't be my lasymt ieGeek camera.
