If you're looking for a reliable generator that's EPA compliant, has an eco-mode feature, and is super lightweight for backup at home or camping, the GENMAX Generator is a great choice. 🏡⛺This generator is a game-changer, providing power where you need it without harming the environment. The eco-mode feature is fantastic for saving energy and reducing noise levels. Plus, its ultra-lightweight design makes it easy to transport and set up wherever you go. 🌿While the GENMAX Generator ticks many boxes, some users may find the power output a bit limited for larger appliances. However, for smaller devices and basic electrical needs, this generator gets the job done efficiently. Overall, it's a solid option for those seeking a portable power solution with eco-friendly features. 🔋🌟

Update June 2024: Fired it up for the first time in 4 months. It was out of gas so it didn't start. I filled it up with old gas and it started after the 3rd pull. When the fuel lines are primed it usually starts on first pull. ... After 30 min of run time it sputtered. I think the old gas is causing it. I diluted it with good gas, and it seems to work better. Will run a couple of tanks through it to see if it begins operating 100% again. Still looks like a good choice compared against other options even in 2024. The pull cord mechanism was fixed with epoxy and the handle had to be serviced a few times as well because the cord popped out of the handle on quick pulls. I'd probably buy one again if it broke today. Seems like a real workhorse besides the sputtering that is going on, which may be due to old gas. Replacement parts would be nice! Update November 2023: Pull cord recoil assembly partially broke. It still works, but I have to be very careful about how to pull it. No idea where to buy parts. If I can't get replacement parts, this thing will soon be as good as scrap. Still runs otherwise. Update September 2023: Have been happily running mine over a year now. Maybe 500 to 1000 hours on it. Yesterday while running it spilled a whole gallon of gas everywhere. Today I opened it up and found the barb / hose sizing on the tank is INCORRECT. The fuel line is too small for the barb, and overtime (if they didn't fix this on later version of this gen.) the rubber WILL break. ⚠️ You've been warned! ⚠️ -1 star. Still a great generator, but this flaw is dangerous!!! I will replace the hose and continue to use this generator. It has survived 2 heat waves and 1 frozen winter now and keeps chugging. Around -10C it will NOT start. Typical. But if you heat it with a heat source until it thaws a little bit it will start in freezing temps. In temps of 100F it will sputter if it doesn't have sufficient airflow (so this means, don't keep it in a box unless you give it enough air, I kept mine in a generator enclosure which is how I learned this, but out in the open air it runs fine at 100F). Original review June 2022: The Wen 2350 was junk. Kept dying after the break in period. At 1800 watt load, the Wen will go 4 hours on 1 gallon. This larger gen has a bigger engine. It's a tad quieter than the Wen... Probably 2dB. Not too much, but every bit counts. The GM 3300i has more running watt capacity (I haven't tested the limits yet) but it will only run 3 hours on the same 1800 watt load vs the Wen. ... Worth it to me, because I will be stepping the load up to 2900 watts soon, and the Wen generator could never do that. I expect run time to be further reduced on 1 gallon of gas, however, I'm charging large batteries so this means I can charge quicker in a shorter time vs the lower wattage wen Gen.

Delivered on time in good condition. Went thru the change oil twice. 1 hr break in. Fairly simple good instructions. Then loaded it up with two heaters at 3000 watts its stated max. Worked fine no issues. Fairly quiet except for full load. Started up on 2nd pull. I would have like it to have a gas gauge maybe a bigger tank capacity and some gauges but for 460 dollars thats not available. A gas gauge is really short cited on Genmax. Its a five star machine but the gas gauge it loses a star. Also lost 1 star because of the difficulty of getting the spark plug out. There is just no room to get your hand in a pull the wire. Also they supplied 1 oil change but the tiny oil can filled is more oil than the crank case can take. Why not make it so you dump all oil in from the tiny can and the dip stick reads "good". All that I am happy with it.

For the extra bucks over a 2,000w (really 1600 running) unit you get a bit bigger generator end and a materially-larger engine. Compared against most of the 2000w units what you *lose* is the 8A 12V socket, which if you have a need for it is a problem (e.g. charging your car battery.) I don't care because my converted trailer has a converter and "tieback" to the truck through which I can do the same thing. You might if you're boondocking and don't have that. The other "missing" options on some others are a gas gauge near the handle (convenient, but not on this one) and no "off" switch for the gas cap (prevents degradation of the fuel AND fumes if you are transporting it where that matters.) The latter you can probably retrofit if you can find one from some other brand. As other have noted the claimed included oil was not there (big deal) nor was the 30A locking plug to RV converter (a bit more annoying.) Added oil, put gas in it and it started *on the first pull.* That was impressive. As a quick test I powered up both my A/C unit and converter in the trailer, which by my panel meter pulled 20A. No problem, no complaint. Dropped back to just the converter for an hour or so for break-in and then will give it a good hard run with both for a while, then change the original oil I put in there just 'cause. (Note: I have a soft-starter on the RV A/C unit which does make a HUGE difference in starting load, so if you don't have one then my comments in that regard may not translate.) It's quiet -- when running just the converter its loafing in "eco" mode, which ought to be good for engine life. I can barely hear it outside my window at the house when its running just the converter, which when charging (as it is now) pulls about 4A. Weight and size is about the same as any of the 2k units you can buy from various places, so you pay basically no penalty in weight for the extra capacity, but you do pay some extra money, which is reasonable considering you do get more. I like my little 2k unit (different brand) but it just couldn't get it done on the hottest days running the A/C; it was fine on cooler, reasonable days but when its 95F out it would trip on load. This one won't have that problem and I can have my coffee pot going at the same time without tripping it, so there you go. If you need the additional watts spend the money.

Got this for my shaved Ice company as a start up device since I am only using a table top at the moment then I will upgrade to a bigger more conventional generator when I get a trailer. Needless to say I was intrigued but reviews and size. After a week or so I finally got a chance to test it an boy am I disappointed. At first it wouldn't start at all and I thought I was doing something wrong. I've used chainsaws and blowers before so I know how to use a pull start so I was baffled as to why it wouldn't start. Put it on choke. Made sure eco mode was off and pulled and pulled and pulled but nothing then I put it on run and pulled and pulled and thought something is wrong here. Finally 3rd pull and it started but sputtered and wouldn't keep a consistent run. I let it run for a few minutes thinking the fuel needed to run through it a bit. Finally I connected my deep freezer all good. Connected my fan at the same time good to go. Figured perfect I'm golden. 10mins later generator shut off. How? Why? All that wat connected was the deep freezer. So I tried to start it again and wouldn't start. Pressed reset buttons breaker button still nothing. Tried 1 last ti.e finally it started. Let it run some more with the freezer connected again. 10 mins later off nothing tried again to start it up and won't start again. Not sure what's the deal with this thing but it's now a hindrance and stopping me from making money.
