Excellent tool , portable and functional

I’ve had an issue with my Silverado check engine light and it was related to the evap part of the fuel system and the only way to actually find the leak was with smoke testing with a machine like this. And with this machine I was able to pinpoint exactly where the leak was and make the repair. This machine works really well for finding vacuum leaks or faulty components and also turbocharged engines. It works very well and quickly creates smoke using smoke oil or baby oil. Has adapters to hook into vacuum ports or intake plenums and boost piping to check intercoolers. It operates on 12v so clamp the leads on the vehicle battery for power. No need for extension cords or alternate power. It’s very easy to use and the small size makes it highly portable. I think it’s a good value. I was able to pinpoint the problem and repair it myself. A trip to a shop or dealership could have easily cost 10 times what this unit does.

I was really excited to get this and try it out, but as it turns out it's just garbage. To start when you add the oil it just immediately pours right out of the hose and doesn't even fill up you can watch the hose and the oil level port and see that it just never fills up it just pours right out. Then when you turn it on it doesn't even smoke(probably because it won't fill up) but the little smoke you do get comes along side of more oil that just spirts out all over the place making a HUGE MESS. Do yourself a favor and buy literally any other one and I guarantee it will be better than this one.

This little machine makes a ton of smoke and does it quickly and will likely pay for itself in one use. I do wish it offered a 120v option and maybe a hook so I would hang it from the vehicle's hood. I also wish it came with a case at least some way of storing the included accessories. No point taken off for these things though, because this little machine does its job and does it well. And bonus, my garage now smells like lavender scented baby oil!

The smoke machine is easy to use. I used baby oil to pump the air to find leaks in the intake. Easy to fix. Good tool.

Very good smoke machine! The only thing you need to consume is mineral oil and a 12-volt battery. When introduced into a closed system, it seals perfectly, helped my diagnos a few issues, smoke comes up very quickly and best of all is that the smoke is thick.

It is easy to install and use and doesn't require much oil to run, I recommend buying small bottles of baby oil.
