Bought for my 8 year old who was very nervous about learning to ride a bike! She was using one of those princess bikes she’s had forever that we took the training wheels off of, but we could just tell that she needed something lighter and that gave her a boost of confidence! She learned to ride it in less than a WEEK ! The pedals come off in just a click and after 3 days of the balance bike, pedaling took prob an hour between two days to learn! Get it!!! I looked at other brands more expensive ones (G—-u know the one) but this one is top notch a beautiful! My daughter is in the smaller end (48in and about 45pds) and this was perfect for her and has room to grow! Thanks royal baby!

My 6yo son learned how to ride this bike after the 3rd time using it.

I decided this Spring would be the year I teach my 8-yr old how to ride a bike without training wheels and with so many to choose from I really wanted to make sure my wife and I could stay within the budget but still check a lot of the boxes in the bike we wanted her to have. We came across this and we thought it would be the best deal we could get and had lot of the feature we were looking for, so we decided to order it.We are extremely happy with this product after unpacking and assembling it and watching our little girl get comfortable riding! She is rather small for her age and has never really had any experience with riding a bike and she was into other hobbies before.The instructions that were included were helpful and the handlebars and the seat along with reflectors and bell were easy to assemble. The handlebars and seat both being adjustable is key to comfortability especially as children grow and get bigger/taller so the bike can last as long as possible or used for another along the way.All in all, it took us just under 10 minutes to put it all together so really easy and simple to do.For starters we like the chain guard as it can prevent injury as well as getting her clothes and shoes dirty when riding (or falling). So that was a great feature for us! I did note that it is not difficult to take off should I need to grease the chain for maintenance or to fix an issue.We also like that it has this 2 in 1 feature for the pedals for our daughter to use the pedals traditionally or to glide without them and use her feet mostly to balance. This bike is low to the ground for EZ balance and rather lightweight.We love the vintage old-school design, and the frame seems pretty strong and durable.Everything we have seen as far as when she rides is pretty smooth. Brakes are good enough to stop on a dime and the tires rotate really well. She loves the color and says she likes to ride and that the position is very comfortable!At the time of this review the price was $188+ which I do think is very commensurate given the easy assembly, features it comes with and the overall quality!

Wow!! This is a game changer for teaching a child how to ride a bike. Gone are the days of running alongside of a kid on a standard bike causing injuries and soreness for days. My son was riding a bike within a week using this. He's been using training wheels on another bike for a while but when we tried to take them off it was just not happening. He was falling and ready to give up. Very frustrating and tears were shed. I ordered this and decided to give it a whirl. He immediately took to the balance part. And I'll be honest I was skeptical. How was scootering around on a bike like that going yo help him ride when we added the pedals. But he already knew how to pedal from the training wheels so when we added them back on it literally took 5 minutes for him to find his rhythm and he was off to the races. And now it's a nice pedal bike he can ride and grow with for a while. I plan on loaning it out to my sister who also has kids my sons age who are Going to be learning. This is a must have 10/10.

My kiddo loves this bike. It’s extremely easy to pop the pedals on and off. It’s the perfect size for my barely 5 year old , and the shade of blue is gorgeous. This will definitely be a bike he can have for awhile and he is so excited to actually out pedals on it this summer.

This is a great little bike — a first “big kid bike” after taking off the training wheels, in our case. Our daughter just turned 7 years old and I’d say this bike best fits max 8 year olds.It was SO easy to assemble, with really well-thought-out parts that click together, use an (included) Allen wrench to tighten and adjust, or use a quick release clamp. It was pretty impressive to open a large box on the night before a birthday, only to be completely finished in like 6 minutes. I’ve put together a number of kids bikes over the years, and they’ve never been this easy.It’s a sharp looking bike as well, with a nice paint job, nice leather-look seat and accents, and it even has nice looking tires. Everything came ready to use — tires were inflated, brakes and cables were connected, and the kickstand was already attached. The hand brakes, by the way — the front one is a caliper-style brake that pinches the wheel, and the back one seems to be a drum brake that uses an internal mechanism. Anyway, my kid has been loving it as a first bike without training wheels, and the bike is light enough that going uphill has even been pretty easy to learn quickly. Highly recommend!
