Pleased overall.
I initially ordered a much more bulky & solid night brace for my plantar fasciitis, but it was complicated to put on and very uncomfortable to wear so I returned it. I'm much happier with this night sock. I wear a size 7.5 or 8 shoe and got a S and it fits perfectly. It's easy to put on and is fairly comfortable. I've worn it when sleeping, although the rubberized bottom grabs onto the sheets so sometimes I remove it part way through the night. I also wear it in the day time if I'm sitting in my recliner reading or watching tv. After using it for a week my heel pain is improving, but it's been gradual -- definitely not an instant cure. I wear a light weight sock on my foot, otherwise it rubs against my ankle causing it to become sore. My toes feel slightly squished, but it's tolerable. Some people have complained about it being hot and their toes sweating, but I haven't found that to be a major problem. I haven't yet trimmed the toe strap, but may eventually do that to get a tighter stretch. Very impressed with how well it's made -- good quality. Overall I'm quite pleased and will continue to use it in hopes my PF will clear up completely.

Works, but comes with comfort issues
I experienced almost instant relief the first couple of times I wore this product. However, over time, I began noticing a few recurring issues: Heat discomfort: The sock feels quite hot after a while. On some nights, I actually start sweating inside it. I’m even considering making small holes to help with ventilation. Big-toe discomfort: My big toe sometimes feels like it’s being pulled upward unnaturally, leading to tenderness or mild numbness after a few hours. It’s possible the harness shifts during sleep or that I’m not strapping it correctly, but it’s definitely uncomfortable. Because of these issues, I often wake up in the middle of the night and end up taking it off, which defeats the purpose of wearing it overnight. Overall, I’d give it three stars. It does provide relief and seems to work as intended initially, but it could really benefit from a better design for airflow and rigidity to achieve consistent comfort and results.

Good brace. Just didn't fit me right.
There are no easy solutions when it comes to plantar fasciitis. You have to do the work. Stretch your feet every morning and after periods of immobility. You have to wear insoles. But braces at night can do a lot to help. To prevent the plantar fascia from tightening and shortening. In my opinion, there are three options. Hard posterior braces (boot), soft socks, and hybrids like this trying to give the support of a boot but the comfort of a sock with anterior bracing. The goal is the same, to keep you from pointing your toes as you sleep and letting the plantar fascia shrink. You don't need to pursue crazy acute angles, just keep the foot at 90 degrees. Thats why these socks and hybrids work so fine. They allow you more movement intentionally but won't let you completely rest your foot. The hard posterior braces work the best but for many they are clunky and too uncomfortable to wear all night. It drove me crazy and so I didn't wear it, and didn't get better. For the socks and hybrids approaches I urge you to try several and find what works for you. No solution/product fits everyone. I've found the it's the small differences in sizing and positioning of components between brands are what make for a success or failure. Thats why you see in the reviews everyone loves or hates a product. It all depends on how it fits them. I really liked this brace, but ultimately it didn't work for me. The toe box was too big on my foot so it was loose. And I felt it just hyperextended my toes more than my foot/plantar fascia. It was very comfortable otherwise. If you have a bigger foot I think it would work well. Like I said, you just have to try different braces and find the one that fits you the way you need.

works way better than expected
This works surprisingly well. after the first night ( only having it on about 2 hours before I ripped it off and went back to sleep ) I went from limping around in the mornings to walking with much reduced pain. almost no pain after a month of wearing it almost every night, some nights I even keep it on all night now. I did sew on a little tab to the Velcro that wraps around the ankle to make it easier to take off, but other than that I have 0 complaints.

Didn't work and made my toes hurt.
Didn't work for me. I have a large plastic brace for sleeping, but wanted a more compact brace for travelling. The plastic brace works great - little to no pain in the morning. With the BraceAbility brace, not only did I have heel pain in the morning (so it didn't seem to be working), my toes were sore from being pulled on. My pointer toe is longer than my big toe and it was particularly sore. It seems like a brace that pulled on the bottom of the foot near the ball would be more effective. This was worse than useless. I ended up taking the plastic brace on my trip in spite of how much space it took up.

I wanted to like it
There are 3 main drawbacks to this product: 1) There are grippers on the bottom which makes sense for walking in the middle of the night so you don’t slip. But they also don’t allow your feet to move under your sheets and blankets. You’ll wake up in a knot in the morning or else you just won’t sleep well at all. 2) the piece that wraps around the ankle is stretchier than one would expect from a product that is supposed to keep your foot at a 90° angle. It allows your foot to drop thus nullifying the effect of stretching the tendons and ligaments on the bottom of the foot, heal, and ankle. 3) This is the main reason that I am returning the items: they hurt my toes. The strap that is supposed to pull your foot up is applying all of the pull pressure on the toes - mainly my big toe. I can’t leave them on for very long at all and even then my foot hurts for several hours and even into the next day. So, good concept but impractical materials and slightly off-the-mark design.

It does not stretch the tendon. Hurts the big toe.

Material is horrible and size is too big, this is a waste of money.
