Depend on how much powder is used, and which color is used, if your intending on having it cloudy like water, I would suggest to mix blue glow powder (photo luminescent) with a pearlescent of the same or similar color, MIX THE TWO POWDERS FIRST. Then slowly increase the amount of mixed powder to the resin, easily making the resin appear either like transparent clean blue water or solid green like the Mint of an Andy’s mint

Q: Can this be used with tonic water?

I don't see why it couldn't. Though I don't think it would take long to settle to the bottom. I don't believe that the powder would dissolve in the water. When I mix it with resin, if I have the resin too deep, I can see that the powder will settle somewhat. I'll have to give it a shot when I think about it at home.

I don't know what it would do if you add fountain pen ink to it. But I have added powder to resin before, and once it hardens, it doesn't affect the glow. It does, however, leave the hardened resin with a cloudy appearance. An option to make it look sparkly is add some glitter to the mix before it dries.

This will make your resin cloudy. In the light the power is a very light green white color.
