Great way to get away from a screen. If you delete an app it's gone gone, like banished, unless you fully reset/restore the device. Some people mention that "a cheap phone is the same price and does more" but if you don't want a phone, and you don't want the capabilities of a phone this is perfect. I don't want my kid finding a way to download more apps onto their device and they really only want to listen to music, this is so perfect. It came with a screen protector already on too, so that's a bonus. Also...huge bonus, real headphones with a headphone jack! I hadn't realized how much I missed wired headphones until I started using this, and my kid will be less likely to lose them :P

I bought this with birthday vouchers from the grandkids. Initially it was to replace my defunct ipod classic. I am 70 so a bit wary of tech but found it easy to sort. Connecting to computer seemed fiddly so I just stuck in the SD card and added all my music to it then put it in the ionnioasis and scanned the songs. I struggled with the shuffle button but finally got it sorted. Nearly 700 songs which should make my walks more pleasurable. Also has Spotify which adds more songs. The build quality is solid and substantial and quite heavy for something so small. Really sturdy. Sound is good even on my cheap headphones as I can’t use ear pods. Plenty of apps for functionality although I won’t use a lot of them. Radio is a good addition. Far superior to ipod especially at the price. I also purchased glass screen protectors and fitted case. Bargain.

This little MP3 player is actually a custom Android 8 device without access to extra apps. It comes packed neatly in an attractive "G1" cardboard box with headphones, a USB lead, and a 64G memory card to expand the internal memory from 16G to 80G. It isn't the fastest but it's OK and comes with a couple of video players, a range of MP3 apps, Audible and Kindle, and Chrome. It is possible to stream videos through Chrome, but if the service does not support detecting the best orientation to play in (e.g. bbc iplayer), it will play in portrait. It doesn't have an orientation sensor so there is no way to correct this. It is bluetooth capable which seems to work well. The battery life seems to be great. I like the concept, though not being able to update or add apps is limiting. It also doesn't come with a case or screen protector which will reduce its lifespan. In value for money, it doesn't feel great as it has no orientation detection or case.

This never worked, the company is scam and Amazon said they’d pursue and didn’t while continuing to sell their useless products.
