SIDNOR Star vs. The Forces of Evil Princess Star Butterfly Cosplay Costume Attire Outfit

My daughter really wants to be Princess Star Butterfly for Halloween. I had no clue who this character is. Once I saw the costume I tried to convince my daughter we could create it on our own. When I started adding up what we needed it was costing more than what Amazon was selling it for. I read the reviews and they did not seem bad, so we bought it.Fit: I ordered the small for my 10 year old daughter. She is 4’ 5” and weighs 70 lbs. She has a medium build.According to the company Small is for: height 160cm/63in, chest 86-89cm/34-35in, waist 66-69cm/26-27in, hip 91-94cm/36-37inI posted a picture of my daughter dressed in the costume.DressLength: For my daughter I would have liked it an inch or so shorter but overall it is OK. The bodice part could be a little smaller and tighter for my daughter. I could have ordered thex- small but I worried if it was going to be too small for her. This one I can take in if needed. We also live in New England and wear layers under our costumes to go trick a treating.Arms: The length is good. The cut is good, gives room to move arms.Neck: Nice size opening not constricting.Stockings: Very long and very big (wide), no shape to them. My daughter is going to need a garter to keep them up. They seem to be made for a much larger/ thicker person.Purse: Very long stringHeadband: Fit my daughter but she said it was a little tight. My daughter wears headbands daily so she is use to the way they feel. She said this one was uncomfortable.Quality:Dress: The dress has a nice weight to it. It is lined. It looks like it will be very durable.Stockings: Nice weight to them.Purse: It has a pleather feel to it and the quality of stitching is poor. It is flimsy There is an opening in the back. I was hoping she could use it to hold money for the dance but it is just an opening with no clasp or zipper.Headband: It has a pleather feel to it. This is so bad it is unusable. One end has a hidden stitch, the other is just stitched across. There is no shape to it. They put a small thin headband inside. It should have been wider to hold its shape.Shipping: It took 15 days to arrive to the North East United States. I think that is great. I have ordered from other overseas companies and it has taken more than a month. If you want the costume for a certain date I would plan for a month just in case.For the price I felt I was getting a good deal, now looking at the quality of the accessories, not so much. For the dress, I would have paid $35. The accessories are not worth much. I wish the accessories were of the same quality as the dress.If you want the dress to fit better, I would suggest ordering a custom one.

the main reason why i’m giving it 3 stars is simply due to the fact that i find the bag and horns that come with the dress to be not the best in quality. i obviously did not use either of those, but i really do love the dress! however do note that i got mine tailored to be shorter and more form fitting around my waist. the dress before tailoring did fit well, it was just a personal preference to tailor it to make me look more like star butterfly. the dress is very comfortable and i actually wore it for 3 out of 4 days at a convention. i had been searching everywhere for a dress that was exactly like stars (because most dresses have a different kind of pattern on the sleeves and bottom of the dress; they are usually made with lace or inaccurate) and when i found this one i knew i had to get it!

I was really on the fence about ordering this after reading other reviews...I sized up and went with an xtra large and the chest part fits fine but this is basically a moo moo dress. It goes almost to my ankles and there is no waist to this - its just like a potato sack. The purse is cute but I had to re do the strap because it was way too long , the horns are useless, but the stockings are alright - you will need a garter to keep them up. The scallops on the bottom of the dress are cute but I’m going to have to go a seamstress and have it worked on...it just looks very awkward. :(

The dress itself is beautiful. It's made of a nice heavy material with a zipper up the back. The stitchwork seems solid and it's a good recreation (although I do wish it was a little shorter- it goes to my knees and I'm 5'3)The accessories are garbage- especially the headpiece. The headpiece isn't redeemable, it barely looks like horns, just terrible overall- looks like a 7 year old made it. The tights and purse are passable, but the tights are too large and not very well fitting if you're thin.

Machine grease on the purse. It spread to the dress. It is a mess. I cannot believe that quality control let it through! I am beyond disappointed.

Purse is stuck to transfer on front of dress. I damaged transfer everytime I treid to remove it. This will be my 3rd replacement.

The costume is wonderful and a great fit! Quality beyond our expectations. I asked for a quick delivery because my daughter got a late invitation to an early Halloween party, and boy did I get it! It came yesterday, a full five days early. Thank you Sidnor, your customer service skills will get me to come back every year!

I bought this as I had been wanting to be Star for the last 4 years for Halloween. The dress is beautifully made and it looks just like the show! My only complaint is that the accessories are very poorly made and could have been better. (Especially the purse) Although I don’t regret buying it! It’s perfect.

The dress is good a bit long, the horns are too long and not thick enough and the bag is quite small and unappealing. It is a pass able cosplay but not great. Not worth the full price
