I’ve purchased a few of these leather gloves that promise both good protection and high dexterity. Compared to my Magid gloves I find the John Deere have better padding on the knuckles. The Magid has leather on the pads of the fingertips, whereas the J Deere does not.Both have some way for air to get in around the fingers, which is nice, but I can get a bit sweaty in both.Lastly, the padding on the inside of the J Deere glove seems to be a thin layer of suede whereas my other gloves are leather. That makes for a softer glove, but maybe not as thickly padded or tough.I will use these gloves for riding and raking. Anything where I just need padding where I hold a tool like a rake or trimmer for a long time and need to be able to move easily.But again, the padding is an extra layer of thin suede or suede-like material, so not as protective as others.

I bought for my son who works at a golf course on the grounds and he loves them. Good quality.

Made with good materials, but when in use the fingers are tight make it a little difficult to work. Machine washable.

Used these to clean up all the leaves in my yard this fall, and they were great protection for my hands. They are not waterproof but do have velcro at the wrist to make it harder to accidentally dump something into the glove while wearing them. I also appreciated that there was reinforcement in key areas that get a lot of friction. I haven't used them long enough to notice any wear yet, but I do suspect the reinforcement will help them last longer.

With all the outdoor home improvement and maintenance projects I do throughout the year I wear out work gloves quite quickly so when I was searching for my next pair of work gloves I came across these John Deere Hi-Dexterity Gloves which sounded like they should perform well for my needs based on the product webpage description. I was pleasantly surprised to receive 3 pairs of gloves, not just a single pair as expected so I should be set for a while. The fit is absolutely perfect on my hands and the gloves are really comfortable while still providing plenty of protection and dexterity. These gloves are not touch screen compatible so the user must remove the gloves in order to use a smart phone or tablet. This does not hurt my product rating since they did not claim the gloves were touch screen compatible but potential buyers should know this before making a purchase decision.
