I purchased the Cardboard Cutter for Kids for DIY cardboard construction, and it has worked very well for supervised craft projects. The cutter is designed with safety in mind and allows kids to cut cardboard without exposed sharp blades, which made me feel more comfortable letting them participate in hands-on building activities. It cuts through standard cardboard smoothly and is lightweight and easy for small hands to control. It’s a great tool for creative play, school projects, and simple STEM-style builds. It performs best on cardboard and similar materials, which is exactly what it’s intended for. Adult supervision is still recommended for younger children, but overall this is a safe and practical alternative to traditional box cutters. I've been wanting something like this for a long time as my kids spend a lot of time creating with cardboard. This machine it's similar in function to a tablesaw, but extremely safe. Previously my kids were using sharp box cutters and inevitably getting cut or cutting into floor or tabletops. This eliminates the chance of injury or damage to surfaces. It is easy to use right out of the box, and comes with some lightweight cardboard to practice. It works well on the light and medium corrugated cardboard and thick cardstock, but may not be ideal for heavy duty cardboard like appliance boxes. I especially like how easy it is to cut curved shapes so smoothly, it has guidelines printed on the surface to aid in cutting the perfect shapes. It is fun to use as well. Not too loud, but you should expect some noise with any motorized cutting tool.

This is the coolest cutter for kids. My babies and I are having fun learning all about it and how to use it. It came with everything you need to get started. In the book there are also other parts do it that are sold separately you can pick up as you go! My grandson loves it and I love seeing his smile when we use it! It makes all the shapes and the cut is phenomenal. This is a keeper. If you have small kids or grandkids check this out. Great for teachers as well. We love it!

Expensive for what it is. Can only handle pretty thin cardboard. Fairly slow cutting process.

I bought this little Beaverbot cardboard cutter for my 6-year old highly creative grandson, thinking it would just be another toy that ends up sitting in the closet. But I’ll be honest — it’s been one of the best things I’ve bought for him. This thing keeps him busy in a good way. No screen time, just real hands-on creating. And, lol, its a great way to use up all those Amazon boxes that accumulate. Learning how to use it was easy — barely anything to do. He figured it out before I even looked at the instrctions. We’ve used it for various projects. He’s been making little buildings, massks, swords, and even a costume. Even more awesome i9s that I don’t have to hover over him. The blade is kid-safe, but it still cuts cardboard pretty clean. I have no worries he will somehow nick himself. It’s sharp enough for thick paper and box cardboard but not sharp like a knife. And this is important because he has a little sister so it absolutely needs to be safe from her. This cutter has become a go-to toy in his house. I like that it actually helps him use his brain and hands. He’s not just glued to a screen.

Edit: Broken after a few uses. NOT A GOOD PRODUCT Hey this cardboard cutter is absolutely the coolest stem toy we have ever bought. It comes with a really great starter kit. It is not messy at all and surprisingly very quiet. It will not cut thick cardboard. YOU NEED 1/16th inch cardboard or less. My husband is a shop teacher and this will be so exciting for my kids to make stuff. They are constantly cutting out little things to do crafts. Now they will have a saw just like daddy. It is super safe too. It wont hurt my kids. I cant wait for them to play with it for christmas. Broken after a few uses. Its not a good product.

This product is awesome. Bought for our children for Christmas and they love it. They get to create cardboard stuff with ease. Definitely worth the money.

We ordered a Beaverbot for our preschool last year, and the children (aged 2 & 1/2 to 4 years) absolutely love it!! It's really easy to set up, and the children learnt to use it very quickly - it's an amazing piece of kit and we would highly recommend. Ours only cuts cardboard up to 3mm but you can but other cutting heads for other thicknesses - 3mm is fine for us though (Amazon boxes are perfect for this!). We have had great customer service from the supplier too, and there are loads of videos available to show you how to get the best out of your Beaverbot and maintain it. It's brilliant! the kids are always very excited when the Beaverbot is brought out for them to use.
