Oral-B Super Floss Pre-Cut Mint Strands,Threaders 50 Count per Pack, Pack of 12

I have been using these for almost a month now and it's been an experience. My dentist had given me a small packet of 5 individual floss strands from a similar product by the same company Oral B and here is my conclusion: These take time to get used to. Compared to the other product, which I can't remember what they were called because I threw away the packaging, the "stiff" end of it is really flimsy. Especially when compared to a regular threader that you thread floss with, which made it really hard to get used to in the first few days. However, I noticed after a while that it becomes a useful feature for the teeth near the back. Being that it is flimsier and lengthier than the regular sturdy floss threader it comes out a lot easier in the back teeth that usually give me trouble trying to pick at with a small sturdy threader. Also I didn't realized that it has a spongier portion between the stiff end and the regular floss, mostly because I didn't read the product thoroughly, but I can see how it can be very useful. I never worked with spongy floss before and my dentist never mentioned it so I have no previous experience or knowledge to go on but it definitely made for a fun first few days figuring out what it was for and how to use it. It is god for cleaning behind dental appliances. As for the actual regular floss portion of the strips, I've had better. I mean I got used to it by now but I remember the first few days it felt slightly rougher than the Mint Waxed Dr. Fresh dental floss that I had been using previously with a threader. In my personal opinion, the quality of the Dr. Fresh dental floss is better and easier on the gums, probably because it is waxed and I can't seem to find anywhere on the Oral B floss if the regular floss portion is waxed, but I guess it would make sense if it wasn't because of the spongy portion. Overall I still like this product better because of how tedious it is to thread the floss through the threader since I don't have the best fine motor skills for like threading a needle and I get impatient, so it definitely is so much better having the threader integrated with the floss in a threader floss strand combo. It makes flossing with braces less of a pain.

It competes well against Oral B floss. Still a little pricey for what you get.

I’m really disappointed with this version of Oral-B Super Floss. Buyers should be aware that this is not the same product as the old SuperFloss dental floss many of us relied on. Despite the nearly identical packaging, this pack only contains the spongy floss section—there’s no regular floss portion to actually clean between teeth the way the original used to. I honestly felt fooled by how similar the box looks. I expected the classic three-part strand (stiff threader, regular floss, spongy floss), but instead got something much less functional. Speaking of the stiffened end… it’s barely stiff at all. It’s so soft that getting it between implants is a struggle. The whole point of SuperFloss was easy threading, and this version just doesn’t deliver. f you’re looking for the original SuperFloss, this isn’t it. The old design is still being sold, so make sure you double-check the listing before buying—this one definitely misses the mark.

My local grocery where we usually purchase this product was out. My wife swears by these and uses them every day. I looked on Amazon and found this 12 pack. On a per pack basis they are half price of those sold in the pharmacy of my grocer. They do what they are intended to do at a great price.

Old version of these had long strands to poke under the gums. These have a new style that uses much less material and a much smaller piece that goes under the gums. But that small piece seems to be more consistent. Old ones often had to be snipped so that they were sharp and small for slipping between teeth instead of frayed. They do work so I'm not upset at the new way they are made.

Buying a 12 pack of dental floss is over the top but it's frequently out of stock in the stores. It will last a long time!

I know they've updated the product recently, and people aren't happy, but for me it works (2 implants with bridge). longer foamy bit and no floss (which I used to hate and use my own floss separately anyway). So new design of products works for me.
