Replace my old laptop battery that was no longer holding charge long enough

DO NOT trust 7xinbox. I would give zero stars if I could.The packaging made me suspicious that the battery was used, because it was in a "Parfumdo" box and inside that for a "UN 3480", whatever that is. Left over boxes that a person may use to package a used item for sale in pother words.It was difficult to put the battery in my laptop and upon further inspection I could see a slight bulge in it.Amazon customer services were very good with the refund, no fuss, but I do wish they would vet 3rd party sellers better. The upshot of this is that had I not discovered the bulge, it would have got bigger and damaged the laptop. Like I said, DO NOT TRUST 7xinbox.

Works ok, but doesn’t hold charge for as I expected. Does the job though.

Excellent replacement for my Dell laptop at half the price of an actual dell replacement.

Perfect and keeps the charge well

I purchased this as the existing battery was showing as exhausted by the laptop so would not charge. Had a quick look for the part number and this came up as a 4* product, so continued with the purchase without reading the reviews.Once it arrived, I fitted the battery and booted the system, which came up with an error about Non-Dell Battery installed. Checked the BOIS and indeeed the BIOS could not read the battery, so cannot charge it.I continued to boot the system and went to flash the BIOS which is the quickest way to clear the error, but you need to have a recognised Dell battery installed in order to do this.Overall - the battery is missing the Dell chip which allows Dell laptops to read it and use it. The battery is NOT-COMPATIBLE with any Dell laptop as it simpy won't work and there is no workaround. It is the right shape and size, but that is as far as it goes.Also, you cannot return the battery as no UK courier or delivery service will accept a lithium battery unless its attached to a device. Thankfully Amazon refunded without requiring a return as they cannot sanction using their return services for posting it either.

Don't buy! Your Dell will never recognise it.
